Hipster - The dead end of western civilization.

Hipster is a style. hipsters will look back on it in 20 years and think how stupid they looked, just like people do with the 80s... who cares?

i dont have a problem with most hipsters, except the elitist douchebag ones who think theyre better than you because they know about more underground bands than you...

i mean, i listen to lots of indie and lots of lesser-known artists, but i also listen to a lot of punk and other stuff... i wear kinda tight jeans and cardigans and have ray-bans (real ones)... but i think im more of an indie kid than a hipster.

I dont think the hate on hipsters is justified... its much more worthwhile hating on douche preppy kids and wiggers.

anyways, whoever said that the problem with todays generation is apathy is totally right. i dont think it matters what style you have or anything, so many just dont give a shit.

i dress like a bit of an indie kid on the outside, but inside i have a bit of a punk philosophy. and i have no clue what im trying to say here so ill just stop typing.

i don't have a huge problem with hipsters b/c i could probably fall under the category at times in terms of how i dress, what music i listen to, etc.but i hate the mob mentality aspect to it. i much prefer doing my own thing.the thing that bothers me is the whole affectation of being a hipster, it seems as though kids try so hard just to fit that archetype...and for what? they become part of the mob and lose the whole individual vibe thing and that defeats the purpose of why they dressed that way in the first place. also why do they all have the same facial expressions? i feel like they have practiced making faces together b/c they all look so similar. i think being a hipster in a large group is sometimes used to shield how vapid these people would be on their won without anything to add to their quite sterile personalities.

"Less a subculture, the hipster is a consumer group – using their

capital to purchase empty authenticity and rebellion. But the moment a

trend, band, sound, style or feeling gains too much exposure, it is

suddenly looked upon with disdain. Hipsters cannot afford to maintain

any cultural loyalties or affiliations for fear they will

lose relevance."

This is the part that I find true, and that really bothers me.

lol, hipsters. I hate some of them but for the most part they're chill people. just talk to em a bit. Yeah, they look like fags (and don't say that around them or you're homophobic, hipsters like big words they don't understand) and smell, but c'mon, if that is their worst quality they really can't be that bad. They don't murder (mainly cause they're pussys) or rob banks and have really sensible ideas most of the time. And fuck anyone who hates on PBR. Or flannel. I rock the hick steeze all the time. PBR in bottles is seriously the best cheap (ish, I ain't drinkin no nasty ice) beer around. do a blind taste test one time, you'll see. but seriously, tight pants? I don't wanna see your ass motherfucker, and neither do the girls your trying to impress. Hipster chicks love me cause they think Im badass after hanging around hipsters all day. and hipster chicks are usually hot as fuck! another reason not to hate.

why are we still arguing about all of this? seriously stfu, if your hipster, accept it, and move on...

your just promoting more people to try this "trend"
