Yea, some of them are "minimal," but the logos that are presented here are mostly examples of using design trends that have no specific function or any reason why they should be used to represent that brand. The X, the Rule, the circles, and type on the circular baseline, diagonal lines that don't really do anything, the updated "vintage" logo... these are all trends.
Minimalism is all about getting to the core of something, and when you're talking about it for the sake of graphic design, it's boiling a design down to the simplest solution that actually represents and solves the design problem of the project. Most of these logos are more complicated and the design of them has nothing to to with the brand. That's not having taste, that's poor taste. They are suddenly lost in a sea of other trendy badges, look like something that should be a t-shirt design, rather than a logo that represents a company.
