Hip padding

So, last season while working on rails, i had some pretty shitty bruises that made it hurt just to walk and shit, and they just got worse and worse thru the season whenever I crashed hitting kinks and things. I had bruised hips until about July..

Anybody use hip pads to prevent this? and if so, whats a good recommendation for some?

Yeah man, I had the same season before last, it sucked.
So i bought some, and I rock them when I want to learn something new or when I just feel lazy and am likely to fall.I have some 661 biking ones, they were free from where I work so I couldn't complain. They are real solid with plastic pads that are replaceable too.
Dianese make some good ones too.

Just decide whether you want the foam padding or the plastic, plastic offers better protection but is a bit more awkward when walking, not really an issue for me though.

^well, i really dont care much about walking... more interested in skiing, and keeping my pelvis intact, so that might be a good idea.

anyone have any links to some good pads?

i have an under armour girdle from football with built in hip pads, there super thin but absorb most of the impact, i planned on using them this year for rails and shit idk how good itll work but im gunna give it a shot

i actually just found these...

i hope all that works...

those are more for slides and small impacts, plus they're hella overpriced. Buy them if you play speedball, not if you ski.

i'd get some biking gear, look around.

i used the pro-tec ips hip pads last year, and they were very nice, you couldn't feel them at all and they saved me alot of bruises.
