dont get me wrong i love rock like the Cars and Jets to brazil and shit like that but when you ski how can you listen to rock? hip hop is the only choice, i gota blast g-unit and young buck to be me pumped up. 'Just what i needed' is not gona get me pumped. Jigga my Nigga is.

I'm ashamed to admit that it's the same with me. I wouldn't usually listen to hip-hop... but skiing to it, that's another story.

i think the music from ski movies, no matter what type works best. it invokes memories and helps you ski better. i have a 'powder' playlist. its got like the deltron 3030 song from frontline-madness, and also the taking back sunday- vute without the e on it from that movie. im not going to go into it all, but like songs from the vids on the line site really REALLY get me into it. like ten years after- id love to change the world or whatever its called- DOMINATES when im ready to go.

Im now Libertarian.

for me i dont listen to music while skiing cause im always working or skiing with ppl and i dont feel like pulling out my cd player to listen to my friends so i just listen to my beats in my car on the way over and that gets my pumped up

i dont listen to music while i ride with friends but on the way up and when im skiing alone i listen to the soundtracks to the ski movies...i have the RFA and Session 1242 soundtracks in my CD player right now. i just reminds me of skiing and the awesome shit in the movie

 
I think claiming hip-hop the only music valid to ski to, is wrong because:

In here skiing at it's purest was done in unpacked, fresh snow. I mean cross-country -like. This image comes especially from old black&white -films. They played classical music in those movies. Therefore everyone should start listening to classical music like Sibelius and such. (They skied in 'Unknown soldier', too) :D

Everyone has their own taste, but the people with the best flow are stoned and listening to hip hop. God Loves Ugly by Atmosphere always gets me pumped up to rip, so does All Eyez On Me by 2pac and ATLiens by Outkast.
