i listen to hip-hop and rap. i can safely say i know i have good tastes in it, but i don't like the idea. it might alienate a lot of people, and the stigma associated with rap and hip-hop to the regular person is not a connection that i would want to make.

not everyone is just like you. maybe i listen to death metal when i ski, is that a genre of music that you would want to have associated with skiing. not all death metal is the same, but to the regular person, all they think about is why you're not skiing in a trench coat.
