hey all, I'm in montreal right now looking at school (mcgill).

I like the city but the only problem I have with it is that I probably wont have a car my fresh year or maybe even sophmore depending on living situations. I'm not too familiar with the area and I'm trying to find places to shred that are close and possibly acsessible without a car. If not is there anyone who is attending/near the school that gets out alot?

believe it or not, school to hill relationship is a big factor in my college decision :-p

Avila has a killer park.. Sauveur Valley in general is sick, but i'm not sure how easy it is to get there without a car.

how easy is it to get to st bruno w/o a car?

trying to see if I should invest in a car or new skis :-p

I heard St Bruno is shit.. Although i've never been, just passed by it a few times.

There's always Rigaud (.. don't even bother)

my friend is park ranger at St-Bruno, he says things will get dope next year, the park is pretty decent, if freeride is your thing, than you still got the Jay Peak shuttles making the Mtl to Jay connection every weekend, that's pretty dope.

i go to mcgill and don't have a car.. it's pretty easy to find rides to the mountains between the ski club, snowboard club, and outdoors club. i'm a snowboard club member (not exclusively snowboarding..) so that gets me up every weekend and then through the outdoors club listserv people e-mail out ride offers to mountains multiple times a day.

if it were me, i'd invest in skis because having a car in the city would be more of a pain than finding rides to the mountains.
