Actually I heard he only made $20 million, which is $5 million less then Obama, and for what its worth Oprah supports Obama, as crazy as it sounds its going to get him tons of votes because alot of people are influenced by Oprah. I will be SHOCKED if Republicans win because of simply the war issue and Barack has been stating from the beginning how he disagrees with Iraq which will definantly score big points with the public. Minoritys are 9/10 a democrat and I definantly believe they will favor a minority pres such as Obama. I think the Republican that will win the primary is Romney and the Democrat will either be Edwards or Obamaa (Edwards always had a good shot and now is getting sympathy votes because his wife is dying from cancer, sad to say but its true).

think about this now...

on the dems side you have two (three with edwards) senators who have name recognition and celebrity, but thats about it.

on the republican side you have guliani and romney. both of these guys have resumes that are absolutley astounding. guliani cleaned up the mob in NY as a prosecutor, cleaned up the image of the city as mayor, shut down all sorts of sleazy stores, crime, etc, and has the whole 9/11 thing to his credit.

romney, firstly made himself hugley successful in business, saved the SLC winter olymics, instituted universal health care in massachusetts as governer without raising taxes, and now is the front runner in dollars raised on the republican side.

mccain, well, hes another senator. however, his experience in Nam as a POW is probably one of the more compelling stories ive ever heard. not that that implicitly makes him presidential material, but whatever...

point being that you have a bunch of do-nothing senators who are famous for being, well, famous. basically the paris hilton and nicole richey of the political world. on the other side youve got guys who are extremely accomplished, and who frankly, politics aside, are much, much more qualified.

guliani/romney. best option. no question.
 
Guliani allowed for body parts from the victms of 9-11 and the debris from the twin towers to be used to fill pot-holes of nyc... and in terms of cleaning up the mob, you mean he put Benard Kerik (someone with aledged mob ties) as the police comissioner, after being breefed about the possibility of those mob ties. Then he recomended Kerik to bush to run the homeland security department.

Guliani- not the best option for president.

While you're close on 9/10 of minorities voting democrat (it's actually closer to 7/10), minorities only count for about 27% of the voting public. It doesn't make as much of difference as you would think. As for Oprah, that's great that she built herself from nothing and is the most successful woman in the world, yada yada but her job is to talk about feelings and lose weight, not sway her audience politically. But it doesn't matter what my opinion of her is. I still don't think that she will impact the outcome much.

Actually, now the more I read about Romney, the more favorable he seems. The republican race will be very close and the next president will definitely be a republican.

the one major power in terms of a voting population that can controll an election are the conservative christians who vote based on their religious views over the actual policies. looking at the republican canidates and their moral standards... guliani - married 3 times, pro choice... not going to get the conservative christian vote.

And I'm sorry to the guy about the $23 Million the site said the # was upgraded to $23 Million so you got me there, but that is still less than Barack if you get my point. Now, %27 Minoritys voting doesn't make that big of difference? That is a huge difference, the reason the Republicans won (which they actually lost in 2000 against Gore but didn't allow a recount) is because Republicans haven't done anything so much discouraged by the american public as Iraq war. I think that in its self, aswell as the majority of the minoritys being Democrat and possibly favoring Obama for his race is enough to make a Democratic president in '08. Now, I'm a Republican, but these are the facts, and I'd really like to see the first non-white president in American history in '08!

 
Oh and to add, being "qualified" doesn't mean much when the only president younger than Obama was probably one of the greatest. Also like I stated before Richardson might be 'sympethetic' to illegal immagrints and alot of people want some sort of way to sort it out.
 
i love that shirt! I hope Hillary doesn't get elected, I have a feeling a lot of new voters will vote for her just because she is so advertised and is a woman. I still haven't decided who I will be voting for yet though. It's still a bit early.
