Last year in the wake of the VA waitlist scandal, Bernie sponsored the most comprehensive veterans legislation in decades. He then partnered with Sen. John McCain to get it passed into law. Sanders' bill, known as the Veterans CHOICE Act, greatly improved VA dental and healthcare by expanding access. It hired more doctors and nurses to see us, created more VA hospitals for more convenient appointments, and improved transparency and accountability in the VA. It expanded educational opportunities by preventing states from denying in-state college tuition to military members, and guaranteed those same benefits to surviving spouses. Bernie's bill also created new measures to put veterans back to work. Without question, Bernie would be the first to acknowledge that more must be done, but his bill was a major step in the right direction. As President, we know Bernie will fight to fix what's broken at the VA and ensure Veterans are taken care of when we return home.

Most importantly for me is he's vowing to stop global warming, which many of the other candidates literally pretend is a myth in order to gain the trust of pacified America.

This election is fucked for both Republicans and Democrats. The top republican candidate seems like a plant intent on ruining the party forever. And the runner-up democratic candidate will likely weaken the party significantly when he inevitably loses the nomination and then splits the liberal vote by selfishly running as an independent.

Honestly I don't envy you guys in the states who have to vote in this shitstorm. In all honesty though if you guys don't vote Bernie in then we can basically write the U.S. off.

I don't think that Bernie will run as an independent, he's a smart man and understands that could guarantee a win for the republicans. He may be a socialist but you have to remember that even if he becomes president, most of his policies would not be enacted.
I hope trump won't win but here's the thing, nobody took him seriously or thought he would get this far, yet here he is still leading.
I don't want to vote for Hillary, but her scandals are common among many politicians. I'm not saying that makes them okay, but scandals and corruption run rampant throughout our system, hers are just made obvious becuase of who she is.
But who knows, the election could already be decided.
