Hiking pants for snow

How well would hiking pants work skiing? Would they get too cold? I'm not talking about on very cold days

i use my llbean hiking pants sometimes when im feelin the skinnier look. just layer a bunch of sweatpants under if its cold and they're great.

Thank you! And yes exactly, I like how they have more of a slim look to them without being tight

They should be fine, not sure if they will fit over ski boots though. That's one thing you should keep in mind..

If they don't, I feel like I could pull off being a bit of a gaper and tucking them in

I don't really care about how it looks, but I don't think it would be comfortable.

Just looking for some more info, & are they waterproof? Will they be warm enough with layers underneath too?
