Highly disappointed in D-Structure

I have bought 500$+ of shit from them before, with no problems. I bought some skis+bindings on the December 26th, and they didn't try to process the order until January 4th. On that day, they informed me that my binding of choice was out of stock. I gave them an alternate, and they never replied. I sent them another email a a day later, and they finally replied. When they asked how I wanted them mounted, I gave them all the required info, and then 2 days later, they ask me again, so I re-gave them all the info, and I'm still waiting. I was supposed to have them by the 4th, (when I took a park trip to BC), but I had a lack of park skis, so I had to cancel. I usually get great service, but they are shitting the sheets at the moment. Anyone else have the same problem?

How long do they usually take to ship skis?

what bindings did you order originally and what did they replace them with?

I think with boxing week they had a lot of problems because they had online orders that were placed while stuff was getting sold at the store at the same time (yes it shouldn't happen but d-structure is not all that advanced with their online shop and doesnt process orders till a day or two later because its never usually an issue for them)

I ordered a Large gray A La Mode from them on the 25th and on the 28th they notified me that they had sold out of it on the 26th/27th before processing my order. I got it replaced with a XL Black A La Mode (I was lucky they still had one in stock) which is alright, not as I would have liked it but it was such a good deal that I was fine with not getting exactly what I wanted.

Overall D-structure is beyond legit and I can overlook little mistakes like these!

Did you contact them before placing your order to see if they could have you items to you when you needed them? It appears you ordered during the holidays meaning they were probably not open/busy when they returned. Assuming they'll be able to do get them out by a certain date is never something that you should assume.

Understand they are not a huge business and don't have separate departments for processing, picking, and shipping. You won't receive them same experience from D-Structure as you would from Amazon or likewise. E-mails are also a slower way of communication, I'd call them up and ask what information they need to get the order out to you as fast as possible.

D-Structure has a good track record and I'm sure they'll do everything they can to make you happy. It seems like you had some assumptions that weren't the easiest to fulfill.

I love d-structure usually, but I still have yet to get a payment confirmation. I have even called. BTW, they were Griffons, but I had to downgrade to squires

do yourself a favour, call them up and switch to sth 12 drivers or something...

That sounds rough. I've never had issues with them. In fact, quite the opposite. I ordered 4FRNT STLs 4 years ago and they sent me both STLs and VCTs. When I called/emailed them to pick up the VCTs because I didn't order them, they never responded and the box sat at my door for 3 months. Come winter, I mounted them and have skied them ever since.

Lucky because I never would have bought skis over 100 underfoot otherwise.

fuck. they shipped an hour ago. i guess i'll just try them, considering they are already mounted. are they just fragile? i have always rode Look/Rossi style, hate sth, and i have heard good things about marker, so i thought i would just pick squires and save another 50 bucks.

They recently fucked up my order for a jacket as well. Ordered XL, ended up with XXL. Havent decided if im going to just roll with it either. I think they were back logged from their sale because I ordered some jeans on the last day of the sale and they arrived lightning quick, but my jacket that i ordered on the 26th arrived a little bit late.

Ive ordered skis from them aswell with no issues. I think it all comes down to the fact they dont really update their sites stock often or fast enough as previously stated in this thread.

I think my jeans came from them all the way to st. albert alberta in 3 days or so.

D is way legit the problem is that they haven't bothered to invest in a perpetual inventory system for their site, so it doesn't automatically recognize when when a product is out of stock. Its kind of a necessity with the way today's ski gear moves

At your size even a 12 din binding is kinda underkill if you ski hard at all. I'm only 5'10 145 and both a pair of sth12's and griffons exploded on me (both better than squires). like someone put an m80 in the heel. plastic everywhere. and on landings I shouldn't have ejected on. If it all possible I'd try and return those bindings and invest in some 14 to 16 din bindings. personally I'd support rossi, I love my fks140s, but the 4frnt/head/tyrolia 15 din binding or jesters would be good picks also. When you invest in bindings that are slightly stronger than what you need they last for years and years. If they're not quite strong enough.... plastic goes everywhere and usually sooner than later

On my pow skis I need new bindings...they have rossi freeski 120s (metal for the most part i think) and i ski an 11-12 din in pow, so should i throw the rossis on my skis i just ordered with narrower brakes? i will never need a tighter din than 9 or 10 in the park, as the biggest jumps i really hit are 30-40ft and i hit rails 80% of the time
