High Voltage Sign

Hey, there's this old high voltage sign on one of those metal framed transformers that I'm thinking about taking. It's out in the middle of nowhere so it's not doing much. It says danger 3000 volts or something. Does that mean the actual tower carries a charge, or just if your stupid enough to climb up and touch the wires? Can I just grab it and pull it off, or should I try to knock it off without touching it? A solution where I don't get electrocuted would be appreciated. Thanks.

Some of you guys are fucking idiots. I meant throwing a rock or a piece of wood at it, not hitting it with a stick. Second, these are sketchy old things out in a field. If you hold a lightbulb near them I've heard it will actually light up, so it sounds possible that they carry some amount of charge in the base.

dude, wood totally doesnt carry electricity. Lightning goes to trees cuz it wants to get grounded the quickest. Just like it heads to the dirt in a place without trees, now this doesnt mean that the dirt conducts electricity now does it? No. The trees are just closer.

No, tree's don't conduct, it just has alot of negative charges around it, that's why the lightening strikes.
