High School Seniors

Um i think its gonna be a bit. My parents at first said they'd pay for it but now they really want me to get into state cuz it'll be cheaper. But not by a whole lot. I really have no idea but around 20,000 sounds familiar.

Its not so much the lack of partying in Utah but moreso the immense amounts of partying at state. My friend who goes there this year is in a frat so i can party there whenever the hell i want and my friend can get me all the alcohol or drugs or whatever i feel like from his frat brothers. Plus if my two friends nick and anthony get in, were gonna room together and get a quad and have the party room on our floor. So with all this in mind, I lean towards state, but whenever im out on the hill i just keep dreaming of park city(went there in Feb). It was so fucking nice.

4.0 GPA and 2180 SAT...I was set on UPenn but then I realized i wasn't gay and I'm going to UB woot wooot

i'm a senior. i've gotten into utah, new hampshire, boulder, umass amherst, castleton, and johnson so far. i'm still waiting from a bunch of schools.

^ ya i agree. its a pretty tough school to get into. not to mention extremely expensive.

utah is where its at.

Not to be a dick, but my friend hates it there. Hes super bored in school...but if your going just to ski it will be good.

im in the same boat as you.....im at uvm and trying to get into med school and parties are fun and everything but they aren't the most important thing and they can honestly start to get old sometimes.

castletons my saftey too. prob wont go their tho. the only reason id go there is to play field hockey and get free room and board. but other than that, its not the great

sorry but you're kind of an idiot and you pretty much know nothing. who have you talked to that has taken a year off? anyone? it doesn't feel like coming back from vacation numbnuts. most people miss school a lot and it's hard to even go a year without it. if people don't go back, it's because they don't want to go to college, not because they took too long off from school. i didn't do fall quarter this year and i'm missing it terribly.

I had to make the same decision, msu gets old and the parties you are talking about are nonexistant in the winter. the dorms also blow and it is hard to drink/smoke in them without getting in trouble, but if you have older friends with apartments its straight. go to u of u and see how you like it for a year and come back to state. it's not like you have to go there for 4 years.

I am a senior and have been accepted at Pitt. I am still waiting to here form Cornell and Dickinson. Fuck Colgate they denied me!

what dorm are you in? My two friends that are rooming together this year are in Brody and drink in there room almost every night and they've never gotten in trouble(except by his dad). But the smoking I understand is a little harder. Two kids i know there have the fans setup so theres a constant outward airflow and they take laundry sheet things and put em in a paper towel roll and blow through that and out the window through a fan. Seems to work pretty well. what i think I'll probably end up doing though is going to state and seeing how i like it for a year or two and if i feel like it, or when i get bored of the party scene, transfer to utah.

i'm in phillips, all my boys are in brody. i almost got expelled for smoking a jay OUTSIDE of brody and walking in(noone saw me) and ended up with an MIP b/c of some shady kids ratting to the RA that i smelled. i dunno, states been pretty blown up lately just make some friends with apartments.

I got accepted into Leeds School of Business at CU, and also the business school at UVM. so....I'm having trouble deciding between the two.

if you have any clue what vermonts own products is, the shop on the left while going to ny, my house is the one on that property

you'll deff get into champlain, and you might want to get on that admissions thing... it's kind of important

I applied to CU Boulder, U of Oregon, Colorado State, and Fort Lewis College in Durango. If I don't get into Boulder, I'm transferring there after my freshman year.

hope you dont like girls or anything. My bro is going there this year and he says theres about 10 that live in the entire town of steamboat.

my mum works at upenn i get most of my college paid for if i go there but i dont wanna be so close to home so..nah im moving out west :)

your very close.directly beyond that is an abandoned barn, then a mini golf course and a shop, then a house on the same lawn behind sum trees, that's the one

not hard to get into? Think again. They had 7,000 early admissions apps this year, compared to their regular 1500. The regular admissions are predicted to be more than normal too.

compared to west point? ya of course. But if you happened to read anything of what I said, you'd realize that not as many people will get in.
