1. anyone who doesnt think pow skiing is the most fun you can possibly have is an idiot.
2. I don't think that is the point of college, to me its more about going to a good school, and skiing the most pow possible.
Oh and UW is ranked 52 by US news, while UVM is at 82. So even if that was the reason, you still lose by going to UVM.
3. Pretty much all schools in the west offer other great outdoor activites outside of LA. Summer skiing is usually close enough if you live in Montana, Washington, or Oregon, then you have the best mountain biking, fly fishing, climbing, hiking, hunting, rafting/kayaking, along with your typical college intramural sports.
So yeah, any real skier who goes out of state isn't going to be going to UVM unless they are a complete idiot, or are too scared to be a flight away from home. I guess east coasters are just more used to living in a smaller, shittier world.
