Just because black people call themselves that does not make it okay for white people to, for the simple reason that when white people use it, it's to oppress and hurt.

Black people use it because, while it is a diminutive, it is also a sign of familiarity. It's a way of being inclusive and reminding each other of their shared identity.

no he's saying that either its ok for everyone, or its not ok for anyone. i go for the latter because it's just an awful word with seriously negative strings attached. but how about we have a black person chime in and tell us why he thinks its ok for him to toss the word around and no one else. its absolutely insane that people who claim to have be affected by racism support it so openly without realizing it. my thoughts are that its either due to them having no real connection to their ancestors who had to deal with that word and everything bad associated with it, or they just think its ok because its what they're told.

but you never defended yourself... so really it was never an argument. if you had any sort of intelligence, you'd have some sort of reasoning to why saying the n-word is appropriate for black people to say. "i say it because others told me its ok. plus its a way for us black people to have a sense of community" is not much of a defense. if anything, you're the one with the intelligence of a 9 year old. btw nice to know that slavery had no affect on you but you still use it as an excuse. pathetic.

i will agree with the people that are saying that the n word shouldn't be said by anyone, but i also think that everyone needs to take words a bit less seriously.

its also important to acknowledge the fact that if you DO use the n word in front of a big black person you will get your ass DROPPED.

and i don't think thats gonna change any time soon.
