Im looking for a new jacket because i keep getting soaked through mine, it has to have a few things.

EXTREMELY waterproof

Warm

good looking

Fit long and slim.

Good pricing

Im not going to say my budget but id like it to be under 200

generally speaking, you get what you pay for. especially with outerwear. for a bit more than 200 you can get a saga jacket which are all very high quality.

Look through gear trade. Usually really nice jackets pop up for under 200. I picked up an armada tracer for 180 brand new a couple months ago.

Bloom outerwear is cheaper than saga.

Also, go to evo.com. I got a Trew Bellows Jacket Retail: 480

payed: 240

i just got a sick xxl oakley corked from www.oakleyvault.com orig. 320 payed 99... 20k/20k waterproofing supposed to be 36" zipper...check it out!

Look for used Trew. I hit a patch of slush before a pond skim last year, didn't make it, got out, shook off my trew pants, and they were dry, Everything else was soaked... but pants were dry. Also, Unlike most outerwear I've had, Nikwax tech wash actually seems to work and revamp the waterproofing.

Seshday is an invaluable resource. I payed a hair more than 200 for my Moment SUIT 20k/20k waterproofing breath-ability i believe

Hahahaha nothing short of technical rain gear is going to shed the rain we had at Snocompton Sunday. Seriously though, my Saga jacket actually kept me pretty dry. The water just soaked up through all the openings. From under the bottom, my sleeves, my neck, etc. Deals can be found in b/s/t...

Eira has a good line this season with a ton of high-quality features at pretty reasonable prices (compared to other brands for same quality). Check out the Ginza or Progression Jackets.
