High North vs. Windells vs. SMS

Hey....I've narrowed it down to these 3. I need some opinions FROM PEOPLE WHO HAVE GONE. If you've been, how was the terrain, and was it 100% private? Also, was it fun or really up-tight. Any info would be sick. Thanks.

I learned everything I know at sms. I had a great time, and definately go where you can hit water ramps. its so key!

1st of all windles looks PHAT but its US doller. so right away id elimnate it and go for the cheeper just as fun SMS or High North. Iv only been to SMS so i cant say that its better then high north but it is preaty tight. I have no complantes, coches where super nice and sick, alwase had the top pros around to ski with each day, and do activitys with after skiing. Video session with the coaches was fun, a bunch of people of all ages that are super chill, good food, a olimpic size tramp, and so much more, those arre only things i can think of off the top of my head... Last year coaches in session 1, when i was there where : Iannik B, Philou, Shara Burk, Mike douglas, Smiley Nesbit, and some australian guy i forget his name that would lay it down harder then anyone... hope that helped, peace

SMS was the best week ever, it was so much fun, the terrain was awesome, and the coaches were some of the best on the glacier in my opinion. High North would have really good coaches as well, but SMS seemed to be less intimidating overall. go to SMS, you'll have fun no matter what.

 
umm at sms one person wins a pare of skies, and the rest get, stuff from school bags, to videos, to hoodies, to t-shirts... oh and u get your own little movie with all the footie they took of u throut camp, witch is about 2-3 jumps a day, or 2 1/2 pipe runs if your training pipe

they gave away skis (1080s) at SMS, some little kid won them last year, but whatever. they also gave away goggles, shirts, videos, hats, poles, a bunch of shit. it was pretty cool, then they had a oakley competition where you would go and look for an oakley a-frames box and they would give you a free pair of oakleys, that was pretty cool.

How about you straight up compare all the camps and what they offer. People's opinions are pretty much bullshit. It's all 'i think sms was way more fun that HN,, but I never went to either..' blah blah blah. Holes in all the shit. High North intimidating? What? How? It is so chill. Kids only back where they have been instead of looking at all the offerings. Whatever. Any of you who have a question or a slew of questions about camp, drop me a line here and I'd be happy to lay it out how it is. High North was the best time ive ever had in my life. my friend went to coc he said it was good but hes goin to high north this year cuz its better.

High North ans SMS are very similar... i went to High North laste year and it was one of the best weeks of my life... here is a comparison:

High North and SMS are VERY similar in many ways.... from what i hear, same amount of free shwag (we got all got two T-shirts and most people won something), similar coach quality ( i think HN is better) and similar activities after skiing... such as water ramps, (we had 4 opportunities to go in only 7-8 days), paintball, wakeboarding, golf driving range... and whatever i missed... also the food quality is pretty much the same for breakfast and dinner ( I dunno about SMS for luch) but we had a BBQ... lemme see what else, oh yeah the coaches for session one last year were: Shane Szocs, Pep Fujas, Mark Abma, Mark MacDonnel, Mike Atkinson, Anthony Boronowski, Chris Turpin, and Seth Morrison. They are both private camps that don't alow the public... but twice somebody snuck in and we beat them down with snowballs... The Terrain at High North IS better than SMS... hence the Whistler open is held in High North's lane...

Overall... i suggest High North.

i'm pretty sure i'm goin to windells i went 2 summers ago and it was a blast. a great pipe...imaculate hits...and a billion rails...i say if u wanna go to a camp that has tons of features go to windells because coc might be big but look at how they utilize their terrian theres so much wide open space where they could put like 8 rails or a 1/4 pipe...i dunno its weird maybe the glacial pack is deeper in hood

Just linking it up to let you know who has been showing up. If you want to be seen by the industry, come up in the later sessions when the photographers all seem to be here shooting.

They are all good camps.

schmies- i didnt say that high north IS more intimidating, i said that it seemed more intimidating to me, becuase of the type of terrain there (bigger jumps than SMS). i am a beginning park skier, so SMS was the perfect choice for me becuase it caters to beginners and intermediates quite well. from what i've heard, high north is geared more towards more advanced riders, but that does not mean that you shouldnt go there if you are a beginner. and the food situation at SMS is awesome, breakfast at Merlins, there's a snack up on the glacier and then lunch is at the Rendezvous building at the top of the 2nd chairlift- theres like soups and sandwiches there, really good- and then dinner is at some different restaurant in whistler each night. the way i see it, high north and SMS are just about the same, but high north does seem to have bigger terrain features.
