High end bindings, an explanation and review.

you are outside your god damn mind, I'm also 180 pounds and I go huge, but I recognize that blowing my knee would pretty much ruin my world. I also usually stomp my shit so It's not a big deal

I got the p18's on my Laroses (Which I am Selling $$) and I have the FKS 185s on my STLs... i have to say, they are secure as fuck. If you pop out alot on ur sw landings and the dins on ur skis dont match ur size, go with em. As for the toe piece... kind of a pain in the leg... literally. If you over shoot something u have a better chance of getting back up if you land backwards, cuz then you'll click out. i overshot a 45 and slapped back, nnot clicking out, and my legs were fucked for about 3 days. Still feeling it when i buttered the following weekend. The other draw back is hicking. When you click out to hick the heel piece usually pops back up, and you have to click it down, tehn when u drop ur skis, they click up again. About the brakes, they are easy as fuck to bend. Go to the teton gravity forums. Basic tutorial somewhere, that even a burnout liek me can follow.

^^i could be nuts. however, last weekend, i double ejected forwards overshooting a 50 foot gap. took it all the way to the knuckle at the bottom, (the speed of the snow had changed during my lift ride from the last hit, ended up being like 65/70. snapped my ski, double ejected. as long as i can come out of them im fine with it

This is my favorite thing about Look and Rossi Race stock bindings. I've broken more brakes than I can remember on Scratch bindings, and at $10 a pop (thats the shop cost... cheap as they get), that gets expensive to replace every week or so. I just recently switched to some really old school look race stock heel peices along with my old scratch 100 toe-peices(totally ghetto set up, but works great), and Ive taken some prety brutal falls on some big jumps (Brecks big line) and have bent the shit out of my brakes a few times. I just bend my brake right back to its normal position right there on the run and ski away. I have yet to break, or even see anyone else break the brake while bnding it back. Just my two cents, I LOVE the bombproof brake on rossi race stocks.

^ Sorry, I was trying to quote TEEFA's original post about his major CON of the look/rossi race stocks. He says he doesnt like how the brake is integrated into the heelpiece.

Marker is gay, and I have been anti for years. However this season i got two free pairs of comp free 14, they actually are pretty sweet, great hold for park and bc while being light as hell. Otherwise s916 or s920 from solly is best. Anyone wanna tell me what may happen to these markers soon, cause so far so good.

anyone lookin for a pair of brand new rossi fks185s they are the all black ones and are sick I just dont need such a baller binding... I though I would post it here since you are all the people that ride them

It is the 05/06 P18 - Rossi185 binding they introduced it as the standard when they changed from the ZR18.

I've skied the ZR18 for a few years, the P18's predecessor cause it is light as anything! Also it means I'm not wracking my dins to the max on a binding so i know the spring isn't goin g to lock and the binding is going to stay on whatever - that was annoying.

I want a combination of ZR18 heal piece and the P18 toe piece.

:-(
