I know there are a couple threads about this but they are really old and the camps are a lot different now.

My question/s are: Has anyone here been to hcsc or know someone that went to hcsc?

did they like it?

did they learn a lot/were the coaches good?

was the park good/were there good learning features?

How was the off-hill activities/sleeping arrangments?

Highcascade was the shit. All the chalets were really nice, I learned a lot, the diggers there make a really nice set up. All the coaches are super nice and helpful as well. As for off hill activities it's pretty much skating and trampolines, but they have a bunch of days where you can sign up for different activities like mountain biking, wakeboarding, ect. They also have a small dryland set up. There's a lot to do, but when I went a lot of kids skated.

the off-hill facilities at windells/HCSC are about the same in quality. i think windells has the advantage of the indoor skate park, but HCSC has some pretty features on there own.

the on hill is where the differences really are. HCSC gets all the pros, scott stevens, jed anderson, the whole airblaster team. the think-thank guys. ETC. but in my opinion, the park there is fucking gay. they have no real nice jumps, just a bunch of OK boxes, rails, a QP style thing. its basically just a jib park. they can, of course, ride the hood public park too, and HCSC does maintain a lap park, but its far removed from the main private park.

windells has the greatest park on the mountain by far. they have HUGE, well sculpted, fucking awesome jumps, and probably twice the number of jibs/rails as in HCSC's park. they also have a way nicer pipe. and a huge variety of other shit. and digger dogs and soda right there on the hill. which doesnt seem like much, but when its halfway through the day and you want some food, the digger dogs will save your life fo sho.

windells doesnt have the big name pros or anything, but the coaches still are all amazing teachers, and every single one was pretty much pro-level ability.

personally, when i paid all that money to go a shred summer camp,i wanted to go there to fucking snowboard my brains out. and thats what windells offers. you might not get to meet scott stevens, but you will get to ride a way better park, and get more bang for your buck.

im sorry for any typing errors, but its like 13 degrees in my house. i cant even feel my fucking hands.
