HG SKIS

So far they only have one pair of skis. are they any good, I want to know how durable they are, their weight, their stiffness, if the topsheet chips easily, and finally if the edges crack easily.

Borrowed a pair from a friend at loon the other day. Only got one top run in on them but it was more than enough.

Skis are light as fuck. Seriously never been on a pair of skis or even seen a pair that light, especially for the dimensions (125-96-125) it was nutty as all hell. THat said, they were stable when I was going about 50 in heavy slush and variable conditions. Super solid performance ski.

Topsheet was in good condition, and edges were also in ok condition for a hard season on them (he said over 90 days of a lot of rails), and if you have ever been to loon, the rails there are a skiers worst enemy. I broke 1 pair of skis there last year and I have a ton of spots from one day of riding there this year where the edge is shoved into the base of the ski and I barely hit any rails that day. The edges next year have been upgraded though. The tip had a bit of edge pull out, but not too bad, and they fixed that problem for next year's as well. Bases seem very fast and decently durable, but they were definitely beat up. the flex is super smooth and feels great. Full camber soft skis always have the best flex. They were, for me, crazy soft (but still unbeleivably stable), but I was told thats around average flex. I am used to very stiff skis So I won't be much help with flex profile.

Overall, he said he would probably buy them again, or buy the skis that I was riding and let him use.

i hear that they are the kush, ski like kush, flex like kush, got kush graphics. however i have heard that they are not kush durable

(Skied around 100days on mine exclusively hitting rails/jibs.)

I bought a pair this year after having been considering them since their first season. I was so happy on mine. Durability was a concern i had going into it but it seems that any issues they had in their first two years of skis have been more than taken care of. I lived on rails this season and my HG's are still in great shape.

Weight is light as explained by previous poster.

Stiffness is playful yet responsive. These aren't line blends aka noodles. You can butter and press it out but it takes some effort and some breaking in.

Topsheets were fine, I can't even think of if mine are messed up much at all.

Edge cracking did occur but not an amount that I would consider problematic. It's bound to happen when you are hitting rails. Just make sure you detune a bit before you start sliding metal, and take care of edge issues if you can as they occur.
