Hey you MSU kids.

last year im pretty sure it didnt. that class takes alot of comittment, like buying a bridger pass, leaving a half a day open to go up to bridger and finding a ride. and paing 95 bucks for the class. its pretty much just a lesson. i was suppossed to be in it until the day before it started, but i had to drop cause i didnt have a car or a ride

Pros: Its well worth it, I loved it back in 2004. Our teacher would have us do shit like 3 contests coming down cliffs above 3 bears and bush taps off high T drops.

Cons: We did have to ski bumps alot, which was G a Y. And we did have this one lame instructor teach one day that was like "follow me" ...and he blew ass, got schooled by half the class and then had us go home early because we wouldn't listen to him.

I have heard not so much ridge hiking in class these days??

my buddy took the tele class last year, and since there were only two of them he got some good ridge action, but i think otherwise you really don't. He usually ended up ditching his class to ski with us. I would say screw the class and just go ski.

I took the class 2 years ago and liked it. It wasn't like skiing with my buddies but was still fun. My instructor was pretty cool about things and just gave me a few pointers that definitely made me a better skier. If nothing else its just pretty cool to be getting college credit for skiing.

Oh and if you are any good(capable of skiing the ridge) make sure you sign up for the advanced ski class or you will end up being super bored.

Its a pretty fun class most of the instructors there a knowledgable and chill. I signed up for the advanced class last year and thats what they put me in, but most of the kids in it weren't very advanced so it was pretty boring. I had a lot more fun when I switched to the highest level class. I think they called it extreme or something, but thats the class where the most ridge hiking went on so try to get in there. Plus bridger gives out beacons and backcountry gear to hike the ridge if you dont have any.
