Hey oilers

the oilers are never going to win 3 straight. they're lucky they got the game tonight, with that ridiculous smyth goal at the end. the oilers will be lucky enough to win another one
 
i'm canadian, and while i'm cheering for the oilers, and i'd like to see them win, um, carolina in 5. or 6. or 7. not sure yet. it was 5 until the game ended tonight. but yeah, carolina will win as much as i wish they wouldn't.
 
the ryan smyth goal was 100% legit no questions asked. even after the game they reviewed it several times and all officials agreed it was a goal.

on top of that, it was a hard working goal by ryan smyth, a great goal for his effort.

the oilers should be ahead 2-1 in the series right now, they should have never lost game 1. they would have easily taken this series

now they are in the hole they are used to put themselves in. they have overcome it before... will they do it again? who knows... i don't think any hockey analyst can predict this series...

if the oil start getting their shit together... i.e. the power play... they will win.
 
i'm canadian too, which is why i'm cheering for justin williams, and rod brindamour, and cory stillman, and eric staal, and ray whitney, and mark recchi, and cam ward, all of whom are canadians.
 
over chris pronger, mike peca, ryan smyth, jason smith, fernando pisani, georges laracque, and all the other oilers who are canadian.

mark rechi and corey stillman have all won cups already, im not sure about the other guys.
 
hell yeah, i love the way justin williams plays, and staal too. peca is sort of a cheat.. sure he takes maaaaad face offs, but he just floats around waiting to get fed the puck. pisani is a trigger man and doesn't have a very well rounded game, laraque is completely useless unless you send him out to take someone's head off. smith fumbles the puck around and he's got no abilities that stand out. ryan smyth is normally ok, but is suckin it up this playoffs. 6 goals for the leading point man of the regular season? no good. pronger is pretty deadly, i like him though. i love the way stillman plays too, and how can you hate on cam ward? he's been a fortress of impenetrable DOOM all post-season.

it's a matter of personal taste, and after watching tons of play-off and regular season games (and yes, i don't focus on the senators) i'm definately diggin the carolina game. my faves were buffalo, san jose, anaheim, and the devils, but of course they're all history.

oh yeah, forgot about brindamour. haha. leading the post-season in goals, and he's definately a reliable player. the poor s.o.b. looks like a cross between a bird and a rhinocerus, but he can certain get his team in the game.
