Hey NS. I need some help with buying a car.

I'm asking NS because:
- with an average age of 15 years, I value your driving experience.- a piece of toe fungus knows more about cars than 95% of the kids posting here.- I want to have everyone completely disregard any practical considerations about owning a car, including: maintenance and insurance costs, age and reliability, emphasis on performance or volumetric capacity, etc etc.- I want to hear the collective NS sucking Subaru's big blue spoiler infested dick.- I want to hear kids recommending high-performance cars that 97.6% of them have never driven, but are taking and presenting token quotes from Top Gear regarding said car as fact and personal opinion.- Do not realize that Mommy and Daddy's open wallet does not play a factor in everyone's conquest.- I want the first five posts to be "yeah bro, STI all the way. They're the best because Ken Block drives it on snow jumps." (come in many iterations).- "You should totally murder that out" "Blacked out" "Murdered out"...- "You should get some new rims"- "Only AWD is good in snow"- "Get a Subaru"- "Hey guys, I only have (small amount of cash) to spend, but I like this car that I know nothing about. I think I want to buy it. It's older, european, performance-oriented, with high-miles and questionable maintenance history, but it's sooo cheap! I mean, this looks like suuuch a good deal. What could possibly go wrong!?" (3500$ worth of repairs later......)- I haven't driven this car, or done any additional research from legitimate sources. I think I'm going to base this decision entirely on NS's opinion.

Would anybody else like to contribute? :)
I felt that this was appropriate given the almost daily addition of these threads.
I don't mean offence to anyone. There are a few very legit and knowledgeable people on here posting. But since people on here like to bitch....

"yeah bro, STI all the way. They're the best because Ken Block drives it on snow jumps cause only awd is good in the snow"

"Bro get a mersedez bens cause they are cheap to insure and cheap rapairs, all around grate cars!"

Get a lambo with a ski rack on it

ZOMG

but if i were to recommend a practical vehicle I would go with a subaru all the way. AWD is so dope in winter!11!!!

omggg is this a passive aggressive attempt to undermine me?
at the time of that video (2007 I think?) he drove for subaru.after that, switch to ford.
i don't understand!?......

i don't know how anyone drove in the snow without AWD, i guess that's why skiing blew up in the 80's along with AWD.

Why is it that every time someone makes a dumb thread someone feels they need to post a thread to make fun of them on this site? There are just 2 pointless threads in the forum instead of one. The original stupid thread and then the second, mock thread that is just as pointless. Oh lawd..

im in the proocess of buying my first car, and it is...........drumroll please..........................

1999 Ford 250 Lariant 7.3l Turbo Diesel Power Stroke Extended Car Short Bed 4x4, has a fabtech lift kit, steping rails, aftermarket rims, exhust, and suspension, with only 66,000 highway miles, 5 grand paying it all for myself, boom son

i was looking to buy a subaru and i realized to buy any decent one thats worth putting money into its cost around 10 grand, so why not get a truck, easy loading for skis, rails, anything else for summer, and the biddys dig a nice truck from where i am, and diesel shits on any other cars gas mileage

don't get a 7.3, they're very poorly designed engines with many problems. if you're going to get a diesel get a cummins or a duramax.
