Marty McFly...but close...

They're being auctioned off to benefit Michael J Fox's Parkinson's Foundation, so they're gonna end up going for some big money (plus there's only 1500 pairs made).

What I don't understand is why they don't mass produce these? Sell at 100 bucks vs 5000. You would think they would sell at least that many considering these probably cost about 35 bucks worth in materials.

1500 of those at 5k each=7,500,000$

they are limited edtion... they would need to sell 75k of them for the same profit(if they sell at 100$)

i know 75k is not a lot for nike but it cost a lot less for them: 75k-1.5k=73.5k

73.5k x 35$ = 2.750m

one more time, i know 3m is not a lot for nike but still...the more you have the moer you want

thats pretty rad that 100 percent of the proceeds are going towards parkinsons research and the micheal j fox foundation

Basic supply and demand, more people would buy them. I'm not here to debate the arguement because shoes have a different curve than most items (aka the more rare the shoes the more expensive). I guess I'm just pissed I don't have the money to buy them. God damn I would kill it in those things.

theyre only AUCTIONING 150 pairs of these rite now. i copied and pasted this:

For 10 days, 150 pairs of 2011 Nike MAG shoes will be listed on eBay.

The first of the auctions begins September 8 at 8:30 p.m. PT, 11:30 ET.

All net proceeds from the auction sales of the 2011 Nike MAG shoes will go directly to The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research.

Good luck.

i guess theyre gonna have 10 different auctioning sessions, and this is the first one.

PUT THE LIGHTS IN THE HEELS. so every time you land something your heel lights up. Like those shoes everyone had when they were young. except it would only light up when you stomp something

that would actually be pretty sick for skiing at night. obviously your body weight wouldnt set it off, but the impact of landing, maybe even a switchup, would like flash or something. id buyem

sorry for dub post, but you could actually do that. just put in a force sensor thingy (im not an electrician) rigged to some tiny leds. lots of ski boots these days have a clear heel/toe area

full tilt should just hire me...i have some ill boot designs up my sleeve. what program do you guys use to design?
