does anyone else have trains of gapers or ski school or racers come through the park and hit the sides of the rails- i think that is the number one offense to skier and boarders-

but i forgot to mention ... if that's what it takes to get people into the sport then i dont care.

i knew someone was gonna say that- i mean like everyday for more than a few days- its a problem with the racers for some reason no offense on racers

they're trying to be "cool" racers lol.

who was it that raced on T-halls? that was godly of you.

my frind did the race team at our highschool last year i think he rode on his 1260's for fun a couple of times

yeah, they are annoying (the racers who want to be cool), but the nooblets are ok. Just be nice and tell them that it messes up everything, and to please not do it.

If they bitch at you for that, bitch back.

This reminds me of that thread a couple months ago, that got really heated...

a ski race instructor was trying to show off to his little students on a rail ... let's just say he embarassed himself

I skied GS on my Pistols, and I did 2 Super G courses last year with my made'ns.  They actually are a perfect Super G sidecut

You forget that a lot of pro's were once racers. There's nothing wrong with going in the park and sending it, even if our pants dont sag to our boots. I overshoot stuff all the time because I take too much speed in, but hell, I'm learning and at least I'll fuckin send it instead of pussyfooting around and undershooting and casing the deck.

What is your issue? Its getting more people into the "scene" and I dont know what kind of racers you have, but everyone one that I used to race with here in Whistler spins at least 3s, (thats right, even all the girls) most of the guys can backflip in the BC, a few in park and spin like 7s, 9s in park. We used to spend as much time freeskiing BC and park as we did in gates.

This debate is old as fuck, get over it.

I use to get annoyed when people did that. Its gay for racers to do it. Its reasonable if the little kids do it though. I use to do it. I only outright hate it if they cut infront of you, or stop on the top of the jump, sit on a rail, etc.

Especially if the parks really crowded or its the highest level park and people are going big.

Oh, because racers don't go big in HL park? Most of the racers I know go bigger than you probably do.

So yeah, these are all ex or current ski racers from Whis, except Chris he's from Vail.

i don't think most of us are arguing against racers in general, just the ones that are little kids on the local race team who just lap the park, not doing shit. They think they're cool, but they wreck stuff, and think that because they're racers they don't need to fix it.

The snotty ones are the ones i meant.

I have no argument against racers who can hold their own at the park.

Seth was a racer, wasn't he?

you guys all suck all i said its when they do it like literally 5 days in a row when u know they could at least try to be more curteous- suck my nutz if ur pissed at me

im racing this year on invaders or anthems

not that im going to care about racing at all i just want a ride twice a week to the mountain

in our ski school we take the kids down through the park and teach them how to not screw things up....like we tell them we dont care if they straight air the jump as long as they wait their turn and get enough speed to make it off the lip and not crush it...and how to get out of the way fast if they crash...the second they show intrest in park we start taking them in and teaching them what they need to know to not be annoying, because once they get that down, then they learn so much faster

i for one race and make a point of never ever going in the park. you have to try something and be bad at it to be a noob thast how i see it

yeah thats right im officially coming out of the ski lodge closet. ns is great but i dont ski park.

^k. yeah, out here in the west, it's brutal what the racers do to our parks. Especially the smaller features and easier jumps beside rails

haha, yeah....our park is crappy enough that we cant afford to let ppl mess it up more, thats why we started teaching them....even when they arent in lessons, we sometimes grab kids in the park and show them stuff, its good PR and keeps the park nice....we taught an 8 year old to grind out pontoon rail, he was soooo stoked

all those ski racers looked pretty gay in those pics

i dont mind the ski racers that actually try to do stuff in the park i just hate it when all they do is carve through the rail park
