Hey All NS Musicians

I don't know how this thread go two pages without this:

sure theres lots of drummers who can play epic solos and sets with a million pieces and crazy progressive polyrhythms and such, but come on. Fuck all that. simplicity is what makes a good drummer great. The hardest way to play drums, is to not play them yet still be playing them. AL JACKSON JR. SON!

jazz drummers of any kind > all other drummers. In general, of course, but it's still true. Gadd is an AWESOME drummer, but to say that he could stick with any jazz drummer playing jazz ain't true. i'm sure most jazz drummers couldn't stick with gadd on a bunch of other stuff, let alone have gadd's groove and general steeze, but i still say that jazz drummers are just technically and musically more advanced than anyone else.

Kenny Aronoff went to my high school. He comes and does a concert every once and a while. Seeing him life is absolutely insane. Heres some solo and interview.

That was too much interview not enough awesome so heres another. I'm not even going to say I know anything about drumming, but hes dope.

More cool Danny Carey shit...

i have alot of friend who use it as a back up. if your right pedal breaks, you still have the left pedal

and i generally don't agree with you. the pussies are the kids who just wanna play fast and don't want to learn single pedal technique, however if you have good tech on one foot, applying it to both feet is gnarly.

the trick is to sound like you're using a double when you're really using a single. thats chops. T pridge uses a single.
