HESTRA Gloves!!! What a great company.

So I have the Seth pro model glove made by HESTRA. I have had them since October. I have seen a lot of threads about companies not standing by there product or whatever. My gloves got a whole in them. I have about 55 days on them. I took them to HESTRA in Golden, Colorado showed them my gloves and no questions asked, they gave me new gloves. I am sure that a lot of companies are like that but I just wanted to let people looking for a great glove to check this company out. Check out my gloves.

Is there any advantage to me buying them in golden rather than online?

I want to try diff. sizes first since there are so few local dealers.

Do they have factory 2nd's or anything for cheaper - I can't afford em.

 
They don't sell them out of the Golden warehouse. They did at one time but the dealers were complaining. You can go there and try on different sizes though and order them through a dealer of your choice. They are nice people there. They gave me new ones today on the spot. No waiting.
 
i love my hestras they kick ass

but just dont grap your edges because the lether starts to rip

i got the heli gloves for christmas cuz my hands are ALWAYS cold so i thought i'd try out a real quality glove. these gloves are definitely the warmest gloves i've ever had but my hands still get a little cold. i'm thinkin i shouldve gone with something gore tex but i dont know. anyone else know?
 
Well as you know I have the seths. I ln colorado and ski at loveland ski area. sometimes it get like -30 or colder with the windchill. My hands stay warm in those gloves. I think that leather is the warmest way to go.
 
If you live near Golden, you can definitely go to the warehouse and try on different sizes. Just probably can't buy 'em there.

I have the Seths and the Boronowskis. My hands get cold easily, and they do a good job keeping me warm.

Just make sure you do the leather treatment on them as most of their gloves not terribly water proof.
 
yah thses gloves look awesome i ordered the cataloug so i could order some

right now i have to dakine gor tex gloves and they keep my hands really warm although my hands dont get cold easily
 
i have some three year old white ones.......and yes they are not terribly waterproof

good for cold dry days, not wet maritime PNW days
 
hestra gloves are sick. i got the anthony boronowski pro model ones in white and seeing as i ski in the northeast there super warm and look so sick. there gloves are expensive but so worth it
 
Such killer construction, great materials, and very well made.

If your hands are cold, get mittens. I love my mittens.
 
Gore tex is a waterproof, breathable membrane. It will do nothing to keep your hands warm, unless the fact that they got wet from some outside source (ie not you own sweat) is part of the problem.
 
Are they durable? I was thinking of getting some, I ski in the midwest (Perfect North, Vail of the midwest for those of you who know it.) and ropetows are a bitch. Any idea on how they'd hold up on rope tows?
 
Good Hestra quality story

Last year I had the (at the time ski cross) or this year's park warrior. One fell out of my pocket in front of my house and I didn't find it. this was in Dec. snow fall covered the glove and I freeked out, never found it, then in like late april the snow bank melted off and I found my glove, I jus put it in the dryer and still ski in it today. Fucking quality. get abused and still last. great gloves, best on the market, no comparison.
