Movie wasnt what i thought it was gonna be. Fight scense were cool and all of that. But it just wasnt that great.....hard to fallow, and not to mention it was all in subtitles...but thats just my take on it...feel free to comment on it yourself

subtitles don't really bother me. city of god was an awesome movie.

I loved it. Such a good movie. The director is so good. the colors, framing and images are so beautiful, its basically moving photography, wonderful! The story line is actually excellent and the whoel concept is very interesting. Colors and other attributes are used wonderfully to portray emotions and feelings and there is a cool way the director uses them to keep the story interesting. Its a great movie. I wish there were more like it.

I saw that movie two years ago when it came out in China. It's alright, nothing special.

And yes, City of God is an amazing movie.

 
i agree that the cinimatix were amazing (the whole color thing to help you know what parts were what). The water scene was crazy too, but the onlything is that it wasnt what i expected. And i dont wanna sound like a flip-floper, but like i wrote that review when i just got home from it, and i was upset cause it wasnt what i expected...but that night when i thought about it....i was a lot better...good movie, and worth seeing

the subtitles kinda made me feel like I accomplished somthing.... its almost better, not so mindless.

anyhoo the movie was good, but the cinematography blew my mind, that movie was so beatifuly shot my jaw actually droped a few times.

^i agree. dubbed movies are so shitty it totally takes away from the movie becasue you can tell its dubbed and you cant have any serious parts
