nice...we are on for the weekend here in Bozeman. Bridger liftie told me they want to open this weekend to possibly get some skier compaction. Not sure if I buy it, but...

They've done it before, so I wouldn't be surprised. Definitely bring rock skis if they do though, there isn't a lot of snow.

With 18 in last night, an early opening could be very possible, esp. if they were already considering it.

I don't think they'll open early, the only places with a base are north aspects on the upper mountain. I can see maybe a day or two on the weekend to get some traffic on the snow since it's so light, but an outright opening is out of the question (in my opinion).

They were supposedly running the Bridger lift for a few hours today. I bet there's a chance they'll do the same thing the next couple days because the snow is so light and we're supposed to get wind sunday/monday.

showdown was alright on sunday, they could be open if they owner wasnt such a tight ass...you could break through to ground on Upper Quicksilver but only in some spots, but it was nice to get in snow up to my chins'..
