Hepatits, vibes

First of all, it's a girl so stop referring to the sick and possibly dying skier girl as "him".

Second of all:

shit, major vibes. you're gonna get through this. strong will and determination is half the battle, keep fighting, everything will be okay

I'm doing a lot better! I still sleep a lot, because well, I also have mono so that's expected. I walk kind of slow because my liver still hurts, but otherwise I am finally up and moving around. I am also excited to move back to my college town in the next week and a half. I scaled back my class/work load and am going to take it really easy this upcoming quarter. Doctors said I can scale back on blood draws to once a month until it reaches normal levels, probably in the next 3-6 months. Thanks ns for all the support!

Your liver sits below your diaphragm on the right side of your body and has 2 lobes, the right being significantly larger. It's a hard feeling to describe, but it kind of itches and at times used to throb like a side-ache. Just really tender, and uncomfortable

I know that feeling all to well. Had temporary liver damage from an experimental drug i was on for chemo. Glad you're doing better and already thinking about classes again!

Oh, and if you don't mind my asking as well, when you say you're getting your blood draws reduced, did/do you have to get a portacath? I fuckin hated mine, always bumped it into shit.

no, i don't have a portocath, they just rotate blood draws in my arms, which now is fine because i'm down to once or twice a month, but was horrible when it was multiple times a day.

you had to get them multiple times a day w/out a port? that sucks. must've been hard to find the veigns after a while. i guess in needed it more though since leukemia = no blood cells to draw from.

So whats your status now, kinda difficult to gage from your post. Based on your posts your either near death - or mid way through recovery?
Hope everything is going well tho.

haha, yeah.... my bad, should've thought about that. it's been a while since I was in the hospital and the mind forgets pain....
