why has Henrik been using the arv 86's instead of the edollos. I get it for xgames big air, but I have seen some recant Instagram posts of him just toolin around on the 86's. I got the 86's and they are actually pretty stiff, so I dont understand why the steese god is using a more comp orientated ski for day to day skiing. He has a pro model for gods sake!

Maybe the pro model is for everyone who needs a soft ski to do butter's. Whereas Henrik actually uses technique instead of relying on the ski.

This. He has stated this on multiple occasions after his knee surgery in summer 2019. From what I've seen, he seems to ride the arv86 almost exclusively.

His knees. Less impact on the skinnier ARV86 apparently

If you had a pro ski would you ski it every day for everything? Especially if you had access to literally the entire arsenal of skis sold by your sponsor?

Pro skateboarders, bladers, etc etc don't ride their pro model every time they sesh. Why should he?

no i get using pow skis and narrower skis for comp, and even day to day just to switch it up. But all of the other skiers with pro models tend to use there own ski most of the time. that justifies my original thinking, but now people have pointed out the issue of his knee and that makes loads of sense to me. and the amount of content on Instagram and ns with him on the arvs just made me think, Not saying its wrong, the title was just to spark some conversation.

Pretty much this. A lot of pro models are designed for niche conditions anyway. Just because you designed a ski doesnt mean you have to ski it every day.
