Henituik double flip

a friend and I were debating whether the double flip in the everyday is a Saturday trailer at about 1:15 was a kangaroo flip or a switch double rodeo

what do you think?

have you ever seen a kang? they usually pull the second flatspin into a 5 at the last second, but otherwise it's a forward-facing trick

hoyl fuck boys i havent seen that trailer yet.. cant believe they used deadmau5 in the teaser hah wow that was pretty insane trailer actually

didn't multiple trailers come out for this like December 08 or something? why didn't it come out about November 08?

Okay, may I ask why we are all suddenly calling spins on a flatspin axis over 360 degrees, doubles? Don't you stay on the same (flatspin) axis the whole time hense not two axis? And since your feet are never above your head (or else it's a rodeo) you never flip twice? We never called flat fives a flip and a half so why are flat 7's double flat 7's? As a disclaimer this is just a question. I'm not trying to call you )or anyone) out or say I am right and any one is wrong. I am probably wrong, just curious for the right answer.

No difference from the way I am hearing the trick called recently. Maybe there is which would help unconfuse me. But (as stated in my previous post) to me double flat doesn't make sense. No double axis or flip is being attained. Also that would mean youd have to call a flat 3 just a flat spin. so what would you call a flat 5 (going off "double flat" for the name of the trick, which as stated doesn't make sense to me)?

So if I do two pencil 360's, am I doing a double pencil 720? No, thats just a pencil 720. No change of axis on either a pencil trick or a flat spin. One axis = not double flip(or double cork, spin, ect.), right?

there are 2 seperate axis' in a double flatspin 7. flatspin 3 to flatspin 3. a flatspin 7 doesnt have 2 different off axis rotations in it, not making it a double. the definition of double in our sport is 2 seperate axis.
because a 360 is "technically" a double 180, but thats retarded. a double invovles 2 seperate axis.
when henitiuk does his double flat 7, he thinks of a flat 3, then he spots it, and he does another flat 3. he rotates 720 and does 2 flat rotations.
END OF THAT DISCUSSION

who cares henitiuk destroys. i love what hes doing in moguls but at the same time want to see him in more freestyle comps, i no if he went in them he would easily podium. kid slays, period!

i watched it like 100 times and was going to say switch double but i guess im wrong haha

Me too haha. I wanna see the whole clip so bad, cause I still don't understand how it's a double flat 7. It still looks like a switch double to me, even though Chug proved me wrong.

Okay I'm sorry to un-end the discussion but I'm am still a little puzzled.
So, a double cork is a double cork because you go: cork -> uncork -> cork. NOT cork -> spot like your going to land -> continue being corked. You must be uncorked at three seperate points, take off, inbetween corks, and about to land. Soo, a DOUBLE flatspin 7 must mean you go: flatspin -> unflatspin (regular "y" axis) -> flatspin. The way you describe it (and I see it, from what I can in the video) he goes flatspin 3 -> spot landing (?) -> flatspin 3. I never hear, or see, any indication of coming off the flatspin axis inbetween threes? Does he? This is comming off the flatspin axis is what is needed for it to be a double in our sport, is it not?
And your last sentence kind of contradicts your first sentence. You say "he rotates 720 and does two flat rotations." And at first you say "there are 2 seperate axis' in a double flat spin 7." (Key word on the "seperate".) In your last sentence you say two flat spin rotations, meaning the same rotation and there for axis. I thought you needed two seperate axis to qualify it as a double? Again not trying to call you out, just being inquisitive and trying to learn. I do think I am right though, just willing to accept being wrong.

Just wondering: How do you think we should name double flatspins then? There's a big difference between a double flat 7 and a flat 7.

Here's a flat 7.

A picture is worth 1000 words. And I see your point. I would still like to see these evolve more and have a more defined break-in-axis before I am completely gung ho on calling them doubles. Because I'm still having a bit of trouble seeing it in the video (but can see it in the pictures). I appreciate your help sir.
Also to underdoggie. That looks a lot more like a bio than an flat spin to me.

Haha it was pretty hard to read this entire thing.
Looks sick anyway. Double flat 7 would be so hard I think. Harder than a kangaroo, I mean double flat 9.

skiing should be like tony hawk and have combos.
flatspin 360 + flatspin 360 + japan grab + stomped
It would be so much more badass than saying double flat 7

Okay when did I post one piece of incorrect information the entire thread? I was only trying to figure out why people kept calling them doubles because I was unable to see the slight dip out of rotation because the clip was so short and the dip was so brief. i admit I was wrong. It was a double flatspin 7. There. Maybe next time I should just post one blatantly incorrect trick like 9 other people in this thread instead of asking questions. Sheesh.

You have to be seriously retarded to not see the fact that he goes off axis TWO times in that flip. Reading your posts with all your "questions" made me want to jump off a bridge. How could you possibly not see that as a double and make your stupid pencil 360 to 360 analogy. It's really not that hard to understand, you make it seem like you need a degree from Harvard to understand the difference between single and double flips. Do yourself and everyone else a favor by not posting in this thread again.

Dude, it's a 2 second clip that doesn't show take off or landing. I had to watch it like 3 times before i could see the rotation. Chill. I know he asked a lot of questions but i'm sure he's like many of us where he doesn't see a trick an goes bam "that's a flatspin 7, or hey! thats a switch 270 on w/ backside switch up to frontside 450 out". I can't call that shit immediatley either.

You don't need to see the take off or landing with that shot, it shows the second half of the first flip transitioning into the first half of a second flip. You seriously would need to have down syndrome to not see that it is a double flip. And anyways, 2 seconds is plenty of time... I don't see how you would have needed to watch it 3 times to see the rotation. What are you looking at while it is playing, a tree in the background?

Wow, maybe next time Ill try to be a little bit more perfect before I post in this site. Or maybe I'll just write "defianetly a kang!" and be obviously wrong, but at least I won't get flamed at. Fuck all you kids on this site that think your better than everyone else. Sorry to waist your time asking a question you chose to read... Actually I'm not sorry, I had my question answered, so fuck you.
