ya hurd right niggas

someone bought it and are installing a new quad (egad a quad at hemlock!?) on the back of the red chair mountain. shits going down for next year.

YEEEEAH

it won't be open for next year....

my buddy's dad is doing the appraisal for it, and in order to get permits to run the mountain they have to fix the road, redo a bunch of the water system, hook up a new power grid (or something like that) AND put in a new chair... saying it will be open next season is very VERY optimistic...

im not too sure. next year is what i heard from some peeps. theres a bunch of shit they have to do , but the longer they wait the more money they lose

dude hmlock is still dead. the chairs are not running this year.

But does anyone know if there is lots of snow.

Last i herd the mountain is under new ownership but the new company does not intend to run it. They are just in charge of selling it.. so that means at least the last loser who owned it is gone.

I don't really give a shit about hemlock too. But there is a load of people who live in that area that will not ski if it is not open! That is really the only reason that I care. I did not ski there the last 3 years it was open, and lets face it the place kinda sucks. It is met for familys

Uh, ya...about that whole double negative thing Brian...

Logically, if you "could care less", then you care. However, if you "could not care less", you obviously don't give a shit in regards to the particular topic. Much like myself in regards to Hemlock. The "double negative" that you refer to doesn't actually exist in this case.

"I could care less" is an ironic twist on the statement "I couldn't care less" that is, if you read a couple of the above links, usually found only in the US/Americanized Canadian vernacular. And it's abhored by cunning linguists everywhere.

While I'm at it: http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/vernacular

and since anything that is said or done to someone else always causes some sort of response, it is arguable that in fact one does care about everything around them. and since he ventured so far as to respond on an internet forum about the subject i personally do say he "cares".

as for the butchering of british sayings or the dropping of the "couldn't", I could care less, because debating ones spelling and linguistics on NS is gay

brian you got owned, better luck next time.

we're straying from the topic, not that there's much to report anyways. the price on ebay went up to 6.5 million last time i checked.

Sweet,,,, I can't believe this is happening,,, this is the first time me getting drunk has helped the larger cause of skiiing!!!,,,

the guy who bought it should have no problems making improvements cause he owns the liquor store by my house and he's prolly made more than the purchase price of the resort off me alone :P

yeah, but hemlock will still have crappy lifts this year... and the snow sucks anyways. so i'm gonna stick to manning/whistler. the good news is the crowds will go down a little at manning so i get more powder to myself.

hey that's not very nice.... it's true that the lifts will still suck this year, and it's also that 99% of the time hemlock's "powder" is closer to wet cement than anything else.

doesn't really matter though, i've got another place to stay for free if i manage to get up there for more than 1 day.
