Okay so I have this issue when it comes to backflips on the trampoline. I've what's been able to do them really really well super laid out and at any height but for some reason I have this issue all the sudden where I gainer and don't rotate fast enough and for some reason I can't stop doing it. This thread is kinda a shot in the dark but if anyone has had this problem or has advice please let me know

Don't whip it. From what I can tell it sounds like you're popping your hips forward(and thus, doing a gainer). Slow it down. Jump up, then flip. tuck your knees if you're rotating too slow. learning proper form will help but I know skiers don't care for that so, yeah hahaha. Just slow down your set and you should stop popping forward.

what she said. Its easier to learn how to do flips the proper way and then style them out. Also work on spotting your landing if you arent doing that already

try jumping and flipping after you jump (start the flip once your feet leave the tramp). It helps keep you going straight up and not flying in one direction. try some tucked backies standing or with some height and focus on throwing your arms straight up.

I only know front flips but my advice is to think like your legs are weights and you have to swing them as fast as you can around. Also tuck your knees good and only allow yourself 4 or 5 jumps before you flip. Hope this helps.

Yeah don't throw your flips as fast as you can. I would jump then flip once your feet leave the ground.

had similar problem I used to launch off the side of the inground tramp. I fixed it by doing standing backflips and hucking as hard as i could from no bounce and focusing on landing in the middle of the tramp.
