Ok, here’s the deal. I’ve been saving up for a trip to Quebec to take a video-editing course with charles at plehosue but I’m not sure if it’ll be worth it because I think I can just learn through books instead of takeing his course. If I do that then I’ll be able to buy something else. That’s where another issue comes about. I’m not sure if I should but a professional video camera or a pair of ninthward first bloods. (05-06 models) I have a brand new pair of belangers that don’t even have bindings yet but I’m scared they don’t last the whole season, then I’d be screwed. So should I take the course, buy a cam, or buy skis? HELP!

you dont need new skis.

take the video editing course for sure. there arent many opportunities to do something like that.

you need a course on personal preference? cuz thats all video edit is, what you like or what others may like. you dont need teeaching just good sence of style

don't take the course unless yu take as much as you can from it, if you don't think it will be right for you then don't take it. but like personlay i would take the course cause i think you will get more out of that then you would from a book, then in time you could get the camera and it would really be worth all the effert. if you have skis you don't need to buy new skis, and thats crazy if a pair of twins can't hold up a season unless you put them through hell, i dunno i am riding on 5 year old twins and they are still great. so i dunno

your so dumb..so you take the course and learn how to edit video..which isn't really that hard. Then you need another 500 or so to actually buy the video editing program, and another 1500 to buy a good camera, i think your fucked either way cuz your poor.

 
well actually i have the program already, i have a camera already(a sony handycam but i want a profressional one) and i have skis already, the only thing i'm missing is the course, but i can probablly learn it myslef and then buy skis or a cam.

Ninthwards are not worth spending money on in the first place. Take the course, but if you don't, for sure spend it on something that will last.

about the course...

i think it would be extremely cool, and super helpful in some areas, but i didnt have a problem teaching myself final cut, just every now and then ill have a super specific question i can ask someone who knows their shit.

so what im saying is you can learn editing yourself, but it would definitely be extremely cool to take that course. so pretty much im not helping you one bit.

its easy to learn the basics,

but advanced editing is not easy,

there is a reason people go to school for the shit.

if your really comited to filming,

get the camera, having good shots goes a long ways

I will tell you to go for the Camera, the skis should last throughout the season for you, just the edges might not be that good by the end of the year, and search the internet for tutorials and stuff for premiere, you will learn it eventually if you try as hard as you can to learn it.

i wouldn't get that camera though. get the 100a instead. soooo much better. the 100 is getting outdated at this point.
