anybody know how i can make this mofo heal quicker... its also opening day at pano in exactly a week and im sofa king mad i could eat a baby

How bad is the break? Make sure you don't push it, my collar bone is all messed up because I didn't let it heal long enough.

put your broken arm inside your jacket with your sling on and your set, one armed skiing sounds tricky though

Dude, I broke mine second day out this season. About 7 weeks into it right now and it still hurts like a bitch. Best thing you can do to heal quicker is rest, lots of salmon, no red meats, calcium supplements, tons of milk. And don't do anything to mess it up. Mine didn't heal straight so its all fucked up looking and i can't really do a whole lot about it.

this is what i will do. but the breaks right in the middle and not like completely torn off otr anything just a crack. but idk. ive beat the game skate it twice this week. 'nuff said as you caramel kids say.

you can still ride. just dont push yourself beyond your ability to risk falling. just chill and cruise with some beats.

I feel your pain, my collarbone is also broken. Just avoid the park and cruise around, pretty much don't do anything that might cause you to eat shit, and pray for pow cause that's what I'm doing

if you ski every little bump you hit is gonna hurt like a bitch.plus you will be skiing at like 20% of your normal ability, you wont be able to move your body around quickly, and will probably make you even more pissed.
I broke mine and still skied and ended up breaking it 3 more times while it was healing. just wait til it heals fully its a lot better

take it easy man, seriously, just give it another week or two. no reason to push it and get hurt when you have the rest of the season.

The season just started, wait for it to heal. You've got a ton of time left to ski. Would you rather risk going out in a sling and maybe get hit by someone/catch an edge and fall/etc and then be out for the rest of the season?

Yeah, don't go out.

i know where your at dude, i broke my collarbone for the second time just when it was about to be 100% healed, now i'm not supposed to ski until january bc if i break it again its bad news
but i actually think its healing a lot faster than it did last time, i mean after 3-4 weeks it feels about the same as it did after 3-4 weeks the first time, and the first time i only cracked it, now its broke in half. just keep it in the sling and don't move it around.
also, and i really think this is helping a lot because this is what i'm doing differently now, take a womens vitamins every day. i know it sounds dumb, but my dads an orthopedic surgeon and he said their the same thing, just more calcium. so, womens vitamins, lots of milk, go out in the sun a bit (theres some vitamin you get from sunlight, i cant remember which one but it helps the healing process), and don't drink soda. soda = bad for bones

This. Drink loads of milk aswell. One of my friends was back riding his DH bike after 3 weeks, even though it was pretty sketch. There's hope yet.

do this. Took mine a long time to heal until I started taking calcium. Dont push it let it heal all the way. (6 weeks)

since its just a tiny break just let it heal and youll be fine...i broke mine last year so bad i needed surgery i have a plate and 6 screws holding mine together now...yea it sucks just chillin while everybody else is out shredding but its definetaly for the best to just let it recover fully

dawg im sitting here with a broken collarbone right now. they told me 6 weeks for primary bone healing, but itll still break at that point if you land right on it. 12 weeks til 100%.

and the figure 8 doesnt heal it faster, it just pulls it apart so it heals less overlapped.

youre prolly gonna have to just wait it out like me man, it sucks but i wouldnt mess with it.

good luck
