so I broke out my new skiis today and the snow was pretty icy but there was good cover with no rocks or anything so I played it safe and rode groomers all day didnt do anything that would damage my new skiis but I noticed after that on the edges of the topsheet there is cuts all over the ski (not effecting the edge) but still some pretty nasty cuts.... is this just from the ice? need some help!

That's from you crossing your tips/knocking skis together.

About 5 years ago I was like you, worried about every knick, chip and edge crack, but then I realized that skis are for skiing, and who gives a shit if they look like crap, you're still gonna have a ball out there!

Yeah i wouldn't get hung up on that too much, my skis have the topsheet beat to piss but they still perform as expected.

If you feel its a major problem you could fill in the cuts but i personally wouldn't do that.

My current skis: like 20 to 30% of top sheets clipped away (from the act of ski A hitting ski B...), both tails and noses cracked open (fixed tho) and pieces of the edges, maybe 30cm total, missing. They still perform really well, stop caring about how the top of the ski looks like.

Its certainly a factor, but not something to be too worried about. If your skis do start to delam, you can always throw some rivets in your tips and tails like k2 does to their skis. It helps way more than you might think.

actually the lamination on my k2 tails is starting to come off... should i take them into the shop and have em looked at? or is there an easy way to fix it myself?
