Help with rit dye+k

Im dying white crowbar riggers and im a little confused if im doing it right. I boiled water and put it in a container and then put the die in mixed it around and put the riggers in. Did i do it right/what should i do/how long should i wait? Any help will be appreciated.

the longer you keep them in the dye the more intense the color.

^+k anyone else, is it going to be a matte finish or gloss? Did i do it right?

it will be a matte finish but if you want a gloss finish just go to Home Depot/Lowe's and get some clear coat. spray that on and you should have a nice shiny clean finish

keep it coming, would it be too long to keep them in overnight? the color is royal blue and its the powdered version.

They are not gaining much color...

When I died my cbars with Rit i boiled the dye in a pot and let it simmer at a little under half heat. I let them simmer for about 45 minutes, took them out, let them sit for a few minutes, and rinsed them in cold water.
