So I'm trying to get a job at Windell's over the summer. I know they get like 8 bajillion submissions every summer but I am still going to try.

So I'm not sure if I should send in a traditional printed resume, or go ahead with the a video resume.

What would you guys think would be some good stuff to throw into the video (if i decide to go this way)? i was thinking a little short bio about my life and whatnot.

Any suggestions would be awesome.

thanks NS

+k to anybody who can help

i was told at one point by someone who knows that they get roughly 40,000 applications a year. i was then told that first year employees dont get paid, and finally told that they dont hire anyone who doesnt have a reference that worked there the previous year.

good luck, but you should just apply to timberline. they hire anyone.

i have references from three people that work for Windell's.

not dropping any names though

still not sure what to include in the video...

Yeah with jobs like this you really need to know someone to get in. Good luck though, I'd go with a short video resume with a written one that goes more into detail if they're really interested

I've been in touch with the sales director over the past couple weeks and she said they love to see creative resumes. If you're looking to make a video, you should include all the relevant info from your resume, maybe some life experiences, and why you'd be right for the job. You're trying to make yourself stand out from the crowd, so don't just make some boring monologue about your life, get creative!
