well start by diciding all your numbers by 5 i think so
10 ants triple every day in x days you have 100,00 ants
10(3x)=100,000
30x=100,00
5(x=3.3333)

i think, im not sure, i know this isnt really set up well

it starts at 50 and at 5 days its at 150 and after 10 days its 450, i need to know how much is goes up by every day there a formula

just do it the easy way. Triple 50 then triple the number you get from tripling fifty. Then keep doing that till you get 500000 and count how many times you tripled

Coming from the guy who cant do his own homework...

On the 6th day there will be 36,450 ants

On the 7th day there will be 109,350 ants

That took like 30 seconds to do.

It triples every day, so at the end of day 5 you have 50*3 ants, end of day 10 you have 50*3^2 ants, day 15 you have 50*3^3 ants.

In general, after N days you'll have 50*3^(N/5) ants.

So you need to solve for N in:

500,000 = 50*3^(N/5)

therefore 10,000 = 3^(N/5)

therefore N/5 = log_base3(10,000)

so N/5 = 8.38

therefore N = 41.91 days. you should round this up to 42 days.
