Help with line ski poles

so im trying to cutt my line poles down, i couldnt get the grip off, so i took it to my local shop. They couldnt do it either.

any ideas on how to get the grip off?
 
I thought one of the benefits of those poles was that they were already short so you didn't have to worry about cutting them down.
 
i just got a pair of Pins in 38"

looks to me like you just need a super thin alan key. there are 3 little alan screws on the bottom of the grip and one bigger phillips head screw on top. you can try to unscrew those
 
Then I would return the current model and get the other. Still amazes me that some kids are coughing up $50 for these poles though, hahaha.
 
Exactly what I was thinking. 100% BS. If you did get the poles for free, then that is awesome.
 
i cut my line poles down and could help u, do u have the ones with green handles?? i have those and be ready for them to brake ha ha. ill hit u up at the jibyard next time
