Help with jibbing

i need all the help i can get wiht jibbing. i absolutely love it, but im absolutely horrible at it, i just started into freeskiing last year and im looking forward to getting really into it. but i need some tips wiht jibbing. like my mine problem is that whenever i approach a jib i kind of freeze and i don't really kno what to do. could someone explain to me the steps of 90-ing onto a jib? also i need some help with my aerials. i can never land a rotation. ever. i try doing 180's but i just mess up all the time. help?
 
do your 90s and 180s while standing at one place but with ur skis on.if u can do that try it with slow speed and then speed up, try it at small jumps and so on
 
im sure he knows how to turn 90 degrees onto a rail. he probably means how much should he pop, how doesn't he get a ski caught, where should he align himself to the rail?
 
I'm sorta in the same boat as this guy, a little farther along. I just started jibbing and spins this year. Just keep practicing, ride switch a lot it will help you get used to the feeling and become more comfortable. As far as spins just do 180s off small things, they aren't really hard just do like 2 or 3 and you will get em almsot every time after that. Try to do 3's of smaller jumps then bring em into the bigger stuff. A lot of boxes will be easier than rails so you could try to start on those.
 
just accept that you will likely fall the first 10 or 20 times and look like a fool.

approach the rail (not too slowly, its more crisp if you go fast), pop off the kicker and turn a full 90 degrees so that your skis are perpendicular to the rail, keep your knees bent and hands up while looking at the very end of the rail, youll slide the whole thing then just jump off...just build a setup in your backyard and practice whenever you can, itll become second nature.
 
thx ppl. thats exactly what i meant. i obviously know how to turn 90 degrees its just that yeah i have problems with the dynamics. thx for the tips and ill keep them in mind when i go skiing.
 
no need to turn 90. just pop a ton and land with the rail in between your legs, and youll grase it guaranteed. best of luck
 
when ur approaching the rail just keep saying in your mind what your gonna do on the rail. oh and remember DON'T PUSS OUT!
 
When you are first doing a 180, you need to commit your whole body to rotate 180. Head, hips, legs, all at the same time. Do not try to keep looking downhill as you rotate, you will end up doing a 90. Know that you will be looking completing uphill when finishing the rotation. Practice in your boots once, then put on the skis and try it. Try it just standing there. Note that it will be easier with some speed and air. Once you get this you can start doing them however you want, but when learning I definately recommend rotating everything at once, and making sure you commit enough for your head to turn 180 as well.
 
go into the rail with confidence and pop onto the rail and make sure its right under your boot and bend your knees use ur arms for balance if u hav to
 
biggest thing commit to the rail, dont go halfway. Turn the full 90 with no hesitation and stare at the end of the rail. Dont have all your weight on your backfoot like most people do when they first try rails. Feet shoulder width apart, not tight together. Go a decent speed, but not too fast. Theres really not that much to learning stuff except to try it. You're not going to learn from people telling you how. Just go try for an hour and you'll pick it up.

then take it to rails.
 
haha. my ankle doesnt hurt. i pulled a muscle, but im fine now .

Haha, you're the one who sprained your knee doing a straight air on a tiny kicker and didnt ski for 3 weeks.
