today and yesterday were the first days my hill got there jumps up, i was hitting them, but for some reason whenever i would spin; i would land diagnoly or landing on my hip before my ski would, this is the first time this has happened and its not going away, what am i doing wrong?

(btw the jump is like 35 ft so my hip is an quite a bit of pain)

i have that problem with jumps sometimes. it usually happens when there is a steep take-off, or you are spinning fast or concerned about the speed for the jump. oftentimes i catch myself unconsciously speed checking and leaning back, sending me into some sort of ugly cork. just focus on staying straight up at take-off and working your spins up from small to large gradually.

Have your weight over your toes when hitting the jump, pop evenly, and keep your vision up while your spinning.

the problem with the progressing is my hill goes: 3fter, 5fter, 35fter, and then 60fter with a mega steep landing on a actual run, so practicing spins on the 3 and 5fter wont realy do much good

this happens to me if I suddenly make a jerking motion to initiate the spin or a narrow stance. Try just visualizing the spin on the inrun and not so much worrying about the mechanics of it. you will be suprised how your body responds.

im not making a jerking motion or anything, i just spin and its usualy slow and smooth, but i land sideways.

yup. just take it easy and get comfortable just straight airing the jump first, get your air sense back, and the feeling of hitting a jump. then everything else should come back to you

Easily solved,Your most likely looking at the ground or feet when you spin. Keep your head and eyes up. i.e.- What happens when you spin a three on a trampoline and you're looking at your feet?... I think it's a lot harder to maintain your balance. Spot your three with focussing on the rotation, not what you're doing. Suerte.

Land looking over whatever shoulder feels most natural. Avoid landing with switch pizzas/power wedges by staggering your feet when skiing backwards. Otherwise some of my friends might eat you!
