Help with Down Flat Down rails

Before anyone says anything- I search barred but couldn't find what I was looking for.

This past weekend I was at Gunstock nh, where they had a pretty gnarly 36 foot DFD round street style rail.

Figured i'd give it a shot even though it was one of my first DFD's. Long story short, I ate some serious shit and had probably the most hardcore fall i've yet to have.

I can hit down rails, flat rails, and flat-down rails all comfortably but when it comes to the transition of down to flat, i eat shit and fall forward. help/ tips? +k to any good help/suggestions

hit the exact rail on friday night as I was getting bombarded with annoying chirps from the chairlift, such a fun rail

just dont get on all the way on the down, let the flat get you fully up and onto the rail. Prepare for the flat with bent knees and shift your wait when you hit it. If you can make it to the end of the flat then the last down is nothing

I pretty much just slide it like a normal rail try to absorb the kink and make sure your not leaning back so you dont slide out when you hit the kink and eat shit

ok, so use my knees to basically suck in the transition from down to flat. +k to you guys.

and yes^ when i fell there just so happened to be about 100 people just chilling there haha pretty funny fall though

yeah, i could understand how this could happen but I fell forward when i hit the kink, rather then backwards

my problem was that i wasn't keeping my skis perpendicular to the rail and wasn't bending my knees and distributing my balance properly... It's all about failing though, just keep eating 'till you get it.
