i have the volkl karma's in a 169 (im about 5'10 145lbs) im looking to get a park ski, center mount it w/e (itll be my first center mounted ski) im debating on some armada's; if anyone has any suggestions or input FEEL FREE TO TELL ME.

http://store.d-structure.com/usa/product_info.php?cPath=10_41&products_id=513 (in a 176)

http://armadaskis.com/product/skis/AR6.php (in a 176)

or the K2 Silencers in a 179

thats all im relaly lookin at, the clean/simple style on the thalls is attractive, but i heard they are really flimsy. i dont want to spend a shitload either..thanks

how tall are you?

i ski 161 and im 5' 6" but ummm

dumonts or t-halls by flimsy do u mean softer than shit kinda like a noodle? cause thats what you want in a park ski. your karmas should actually be good in the park thats what i ski but im with you on wanting a slightly more parky ski

if your buyong salomon wait until next year

not only are the skis waaaaaayyyy better, the graphics dont suck dick

im not going to spend that much on another ski this late into the season... id rather buy a less expensive ski that i can bang around and buy 07/08 skis in october on pro form =)

eeek. ive never really ridden them on the boxes yet at all...we've had no snow until this storm that just hit us yesterday and now our closest mountain just got 24inches =) but to tell you the truth, ive never really riddin a box/rail yet. i just hit the jumps, but i want to start hittin boxes/urban this year or at least know how.

i already have my karmas mounted on normal FR(freeride) mount and iw as debating on remounting them to the center, but i heard that center mounting is bad on those skis since they arent a TRUE TWIN. i just figured that if i can buy a cheap ski then i can bang it up and i can get more balance on a center mount then i can go all out next season. i love my karmas for all mountain

so out of the ar6, '05 Thall, and the silencer which would be best choice? i'll be hittin the rails less often than i will jumps, and i like to jib in the trees..i will switch to my karmas if its a more powdery like day...

ummmm idk about 05 t halls if you could get 06-07 or 07-08 id get those ummmm silencer im thinking actually right now but id think 179 is too long for you

I have the same t-halls. They are an okay ski, but I think i got a defect pair. I have had problems with the edge in the tail, and now a crack has appeared in my topsheet at the tail. They have gone through 3 months of the hardest skiing i have EVER done...and they have been ABUSED severley on rails. Armada makes the toughest bases and edges i have ever seen. The only thing is the topsheet chips prettyt easy around the sidewall. Overall, im impressed with them. I got mine for 490$ canadian with px12 bindings included...so 400 USD isnt a bad deal. As odd as it sounds, i want my next park ski to be even softer. they preform well all mtn, to the contrary of what all the pople say ( half have never ridden them)

haha thats what i thought too when the guy at the resort (our shop doesnt carry the silencers) told me "169..too short. i feel like im more balanced with a ski that is more my height liek to the tip of my head, rather than around my nose/eyebrows" i was like (wtf this kid doesnt know what hes talking about..) or am i wrong? where should a park ski go up to on one's body, and what about an all-mountain ski like the karma (it goes about nose level on me and its a 169)

how tall are you and your weight? im pretty sure i wont be skiing as hard as you are..i just want a ski i can abuse on some rails/boxes this season, rather than abusing my karmas ( obviously a more expensive ski)

I have 176, Im about 5'5 (169cm) and 135 lbs. Ive gotten alot better this season, and am riding ahrd. I have no crached edges, no coreshots. the only problem is chipping (like 4 of them) from crossing my skis to grab tail/nose/w.e. the edge on my tail is loose, but by no means going to come out any time soon. it moves about 0.1 of a mm up adn down. no big deal.

yeah, ill most likeley be getting the wall/bridge next year + the new salomon spk or an armada..

I JUST WANT TO KNOW IF A 176 IS TOO SHORT FOR ME ( im 5'10-5'11) OR SHOULD I GET THE 180 ??? AND WHAT BINDING?

my karmas are a little but above my eyebrows but im a short ass i like them that way but w/out the twin tip they would probably be about my lips kinda area

for park shorter is better accordin to the local shop

like how tall are you at 5 6 161's are eyebrow height if you ski your karmas at 169 that might be a little long even. my dad is 5 10 and he skis hhis full out race skis (salomon equipe LAB) at 165 and his longest are 170 and there volkl ac4's so about noseish would actually be pretty good

i measured from the floor to about eye level and its 67in

67 in = 170.2 cm

obviously a 180ski is tooo long.

176 or 170 for those T-HALLS, and pelase know what you're talking about

NPM told me that 180s are perfect for me. he is about 5'6 and hes on 175's. what the hell, IF I MOUNT AT CENTER/TRUE CENTER or w/e on those '05 T-HALLS, will the 176's or 180's be a better choice. what's the deal with center mount and your height? i feel that the 176s will be fine for me... I NEED HELP someone know what youre talking about.
