help w/video camera purchase

i wanna buy a video camera b4 next season but i dont have any money does any1 know a site where can get a good deal or a used one, i wanna be able to upload movies to my comp so either hi8 or digital, does any1 have any tips on a good cheaper model?

I got a JVD GRD-F11 or something like that for $420. If you go to www.cnet.com, you can look up models and they show you who has the best prices.
 
try digibid.com it will make your life much easier to if the camera has a firewire which allows you to dump tape right into the computer

they dont push you to buy accessories like many places do, they ship fast, prices are really good.

I got my canon gl1 there.

Get a canon gl1 or xl1 or sony vx2000 if you're really serious about making movies, if you're not as serious cameras like the sony trv6, trv 11, trv20, trv 320, and trv 520 are all good

go for miniDV. and if you have a low bugdet look for a used canon optura 10 or 20 or a panasonic GS
