alright i need some help here--this has been going on for a while, i just never posted on ns for some reason. ive got a canon dv cam and an ieee 1394 thing all set up on the comp (i installed the card, it didnt come built in, if that even matters), but whenever i try to capture, it drops tons of frames--it will capture for a few seconds, then freeze, then pick up and capture a few more frames, and then pause again, etc, etc.....the frames dropped # is usually higher than the successfully captured frames......i've tried it on 4 programs, and on 3 of them, it does this-- intro dv (came with the card), adobe videowhatever demo, and pinnacle studio 7.0. the computer is 750 mhz, and i have plenty of free space on the comp, the control panel things says its installed correctly, so there's no reason why it shouldn't work. anybody got any suggestions? PLEASE? ayuda!

Also, close EVERYTHING, except for explorer and systray, see if that helps. You may have lots of stuff runnig on your comp.
