Help us make a crazy set of skis

give us what youve got..

Is this comp still on??

The Meathammers (or the AK's which is essentially a full rocker version) ... more info in this thread.

Anyhow, despite the people who abhor them for whatever or no reason, I do know of people that would enter the raffle (eg people on my friends list.)

Otherwise, any ski with MAJOR bling.. ideally removable so it's not stolen when skis unattended.

Anyhow, best of luck with your company. I drove through Portland some years ago in a marathon run right up the west coast in a 17hr non-stop car journey. Maybe I'll return for one day for some skis and the Pimp Shit tour in order to demo them out.

They are a massively wide and shaped ski.. can you make them warp-resistant, perhaps with thicker or one solid ply?

heres an idea make an all wood ski except for the base and some other small things but absolutely no metal. no edges=no edge cracks. frickin brilliant. as for the shape no camber just rocker with a shit ton of early rise. basically a hula hoop cut in half, this means only one contact point smack dab underfoot. as for the dimensions tip- 110 waist-108 and tail- 120 i would also put rivets in the tip and tail so they dont delam. maybe some rubber in the tips for reduced chatter. the flex should resemble the aldentes but backwards so the tails are the flexiest. ya know for them switch tail butters. as for the graphics im thinking a picture of a hamster hot boxing his glass cage. i would market these skis as either a jump specific ski or pipe ski. recommended lengths 164 175 and 186

Dead serious, the company should make some $250 skis out of the cheapest material, like K2 of yesteryear had ceramic construction lightened up but cheap so they're almost disposable for us, different topsheets every pair so your not on a lift with your same pair next to you, we'd trade disposable skis like crazy on here, obviously they'd have to be safe and realistically able to last a season if careful-ish

Soo many new companies with $800 skis sucks and not realistic

We agree, $800 for skis is to much for most.

We were actually working on making a pair of $100 skis, We found a producer who could make super cheap skis, but the quality was so poor that it never took off. Hopefully we can figure out something soon. They would be more of a trasher urban ski though.

Our powder skis we are developing are also going to be pretty awesome! They are going to be super light carbon skis like DPS, but around the 500$ range, right now we are having trouble with that producer too ( check our Instagram) the skis ended up super warped.

For now the only skis that are ready are our park line, which are bieng made by a more reputable producer. We plan on offering lots of limited edition topsheets so there will be plenty of topsheets to choose from. We hope to be selling those for close to $400 a pair.

$250 is not realistic for our company yet. To get there we would have to be buying massive orders, and we could not offer many different graphics.

Anyways, the company is only a few months old, who knows what can happen next season.

You should sell the warped skis and such for super cheap like for just the cost it was to make them, better than throwing them away, you could call it the Dunce Line

Haha, they were not produced in large numbers. Just a demo run thank god.

Just sayin

Make a dedicated dune ski that we can use in Pacific City and at the dunes by Florence. There are actually a lot of Oregonians that would buy this and it would expand out options when Palmer isn't running. I've also talked to kite skiers that would want to kite ski the beach.

Why doesn't the website work? I click on skis and then it asks me for a password

the password is tbkskis. if you can't get it to work....well that's what we call an "operator error".

Does that password work for you because it isn't working for me. Also not sure if you meant "tbkskis" or tbkskis." but I tried them both and neither of the two works.

Tomorrow is the 4th and their profile claims skis will be for sale.

OP will surely deliver.

Psychadelic topsheet, rocker, holes to plant poles in for some nasty pole drivers, and a tiny compartment under the top sheet to stash some doobies.

topsheet doob compartment is a must. get that symmetrical rocker with swallowtails on the noses and tails
