HELP: Trying to play an old game.

I've been searching all over my house for The Curse of monkey Island. An amazing game from 1997 and i can't find it anywhere. So i decided to try and Torrent it. After a while i figured out what to do, and i downloaded it. Now the tricky part.

After lots of trouble shooting I realized you need a program called ScummVM, which is a free downloadable program that lets you play old games on newer windows versions. After hours of trying to figure out the right files to use it all worked and i could add the game. But heres the problem, I added the game to the list in ScummVM, but when i hit play it comes up with a screen that says "type exit to return to game", so i do this, and the screen is black and doesn't respond.

So my question is does anyone know how i can get the game to work? Probably a long shot but i know theres got to be someone on the site that can help.

burn the game onto a cd (magiciso)

go buy a shitbox computer with windows 98 for 20 bucks

plug said shitbox into monitor, insert cd, play

i have an iphone and the App and Xbox version are absolute shit compared to the actual game made in 1997 haha

when i first read over your post i was wondering what magiciso was... and then the second time i read it i realized it was magic ISO lol i downloaded that to get the BIN files to ISO, but how do i Burn CDs in that?

there's a burn cd /dvd button, you choose the ISO file, put in the cd/dvd and burn it

thanks so much +k, it worked!!!! i have an Old computer with Windows 2000 that i put the disc in and it worked! i just need to delete tons of shit on that becuase its filled with junk.

actually if you have a new version of windows you can just run make it run certain programs as an earlier version of itself. This works on Windows Vista and 7, if you can't do it on XP well then you are fucked. To get there, just right click the program and hit properties and then go to the compatability tab. you can fix it under that.
