Help...Ski's Got Jacked

hey NS,

Me and my buddy started out the season up at A-Basin today. It was snowing but not too cold so we decided to go back to the car and shed some gear after hikin the park for about an hour.

We ski'd down to the rope where a path crosses the creek to a street next to the top roadside parking area and left our ski's in the snow by the trees. We were gone about 5 minutes and came back and my buddies skis were gone but mine wern't(go figure they are abused old PE's)

We then walked around the parking lots for a bit looking for them and checked the offices and rack down by the base just in case... no luck

If you live in the Boulder/Denver area and know who took them or something and can help us get them back please reply here. All this kid likes to do is rip.

Ski's: 06/07 Line invaders with 06/07 Line reactor bindings: white top sheet with green and yellow graphics moderately worn around the sides... should be jibij and skullcandy stickers on them if not more....

Yes we know it was stupid to leave our ski's there even for a bit so please dont say that and yes I know current G code of ethics prevents thugs from ratting out their boys but please try and help...

 
fuck dude that sucks. NSers help prevent this shit!!! if you see some skis that you know are a friends or something dont let anyone else touch em.....and in all actuality not everyone uses locks.
 
well just make sure that you have filled out a report a police one and one at the mountain. i got my snowboard stolen back when i was into that and it realllllly sucked.
 
Maybe the reactors will break and they will be put in the hospital, and that will be a prime example of karma.

good luck dude, I got my skis jacked last year (unmounted, undrilled, 07 scratch fs) and I ended up getting them back. Keep an eye out on craigslist and ebay. file a police report too if you haven't done so already.

just keep looking, stolen skis can be found

damn that is shittty. you'd think someone dedicated enough to show up to the first day of the season wouldn't be such a douche...
 
try goin to a used sport goods store if theres one around you....thats usually where people take them....i know about 6 diff people whos skis were stolen and they all turned up at the used sport shops.
 
shit man... i left my skis in the snow for a while up at Abay, i guess i got lucky. time to start seperating skis
 
Thats BS dude. Mine almost got stolen at Keystone last season. We left them there at the Mountain House and came back out and they were gone. We told ski patrol and then went to the Gondola. I turned around and BOOM, there were my skis and my friends skis in some other guys hands. We ended up getting them back. So, I bet you will find them somewhere. Good luck!!
 
my roommate and i got renters insurence, and it covers everything from printers and laptops to skis and boards. good investment.
 
that sucks man, the only thing as bad would be getting your bike stolen. Hope you end up getting them back, or at leats the guy who took them gets run over by a groomer.
 
Make sure to check with the mountain. Once i left my skis leaning against a snow pile and went over to talk to my friend for a while and they were gone when i got back. Turns out ski patrol took them because they assumed someone had forgotten them.
 
I didn't read the thread yet cause I'm in a rush but post it up on tgr too, they can keep a look out as well. no one likes a ski thieve.
 
ya i always lock my shis but if u see some one tryin to take urs ur friends or anyones freestyle skis u and ur friend beat him up shit i would hate for my skis ti get stolen
 
I was on hire skis for a couple of days in Feb, and they got nicked out the boot room of this teeny hotel.

Idiot. who steals crappy hire skis?
 
Man that sucks, I hate this stealing bullshit soooo fucking much. I got my bike jaked this summer at Whistler during Crankworx, it sucked sooo much since I had saved up and just got it a couple months earlier, and then some fucking faggots stole it and my cousins bike too. Like they have no concience at all, they have no clue how much the shit that they steal means to people.

lol I allways thought his reactors sucked... but he was convinced they were amazing

even when the the brakes kept breaking and they exploaded once on a transition to a wall.

anyways been checking ebay and craigslist and he filed a police report not much else we can do other than call some local used sporting goods places.

also sorry to hear bout your bike dude, some people just dont think about how much it can affect the persons lives that they are stealing from
 
shit like that makes me so depressed i mean if skiing is your life and you get your skis stolen and you dont have any money its like stealing your soul, hope your friend gets em back
 
Indeed. My friend had his skis jacked and they were covered by homeowners insurance. Pretty sure its not with all insurance companies and also that you MUST have the serial number and/or receipt.
