The right wing Mormon gov't is at it again in Utah, trying to make out state dryer than it already is. I posted this in the Utah regional forum but anyone can help. This newly passed bill will effectively close 13 of the states liquor stores, which the government has the only right to sell and tax in the first place... This would seriously inhibit the prospect of partying and be a detriment to the local economy. Please sign up, it is so easy, and spread the word to help cling onto some sense of coolness in the 801. Thanks

jesus, and I thought my states alcohol laws sucked. Good luck with that, unfortunately I really don't like entering my home address into shit like this so you're on your own.

I frickin hope so, at least that one grocery store sells beer now, wegmans or whatever. Ridiculous that you can't pick up a sixer at a gas station around here.

BUT Wegmans does have great choices. Lots of imports and domestic crafts, only downside is you can only get two 6-packs at once :(

Your an idiot there closing these thirteen stores to help cut the budget they feel these stores are in close proximitly to other state liquor stores.

haha when I first read this I thought it said help steve utah drinkers... I was like hmmm that is a pretty sweet name... then I seen it said save and was almost disappointed..

great selection of west coast and microbrews for sure. I think you can carry out like 190 oz. or something like that. Mine here does growlers too.

I'm sure you could come back in and buy as much as you want in seperate trips to your car.

yeah and thereby making the closest large city to great skiing controlled by those feel they need to force their beliefs on everyone else. If only denver was where SLC is....that would be the ultimate

this is exactly what my friend from england said about slc,if it wasnt run by religious twats then it would be like the mecca of skiing and partying in the USA, but instead it is run by a bunch of retards and it sucks

salt lake really is not that bad. ive lived here for 3 years and have had options of parties every single weekend ive lived here...

ya i lived there for 2 years and obviously there were parties every night, even really sweet parties but even when i moved there in 05 they were starting to crack down on U street which used to be all out parties in basically every house and mad people in the street drinking, but then by the time i left 2 years later that never even happened because if people even got outside of their houses they would crack down iike crazy, and that is just one example, if there were no mormons the majority of people in the city of salt lake would be skiers and snowboarders which would give the place a completely different vibe, it would be like whistler, i dont mean it when i say it fucking sucked, it was actually awesome, but it would be so many times better i dont think that i could even comprehend how sweet it would be without mormons

Start importing truckloads of it and selling them.

Seriously such bullshit. Nobody is shoving drinking in their faces, they just ask that the mormons not shove their beliefs in peoples face. In

Denver sucks. SLC is prime where it is. Utah is pretty big, closing thirteen liquor stores isn't going to stop the flow of alcohol into the state. Hopefully it drives the market for local "beer stores."

i signed, but the ones they are shutting down are probably in st george, provo and other mormon infested areas where the liquor stores probably dont get any business anyway, im sure all the slc ones will stay open.
